Subject: Another Transfer, Dublin this time? Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:05 pm
Interesting stories doing the rounds that Liam Watson an Antrim hurler is close to a transfer to Dublin. The reason, he's not wanted by Antrim. Sound familar? Thought so.
Now we know the moral high ground a lot of Dublin based journalists and others around the Country took on the Johnston transfer. If this goes through will we see the same indignation and months of stories. Will other teams boo him when he plays against them. Will Brolly say the dubs should be ashamed to support their County. Will the CCCC or whatever committee run this through the ringer for six months. Will his family get hounded?
Time will tell.

I would bloody well hope so Baba, this sort of transfer is ridiculous and should in no way go through, having said that will the same people who believed Johnston was more than entitled to transfer to Kildare be more than happy to allow Watson to transfer to Dublin.

No smoke without fire. Let's see if he suddenly gets a coaching job in Dublin in the next few months when the initial commotion dies down.
