| Time to put the club niggling on the back burner for a while and get behind Moorefield. Hope they now get a really good run in Leinster. Shorten the wait for the testomonial and O'Byrne cup. | |

| Think we lose home venue because of our tyrellspass game in 07.
Also want to wish Ballymore the Best of Luck in the Intermediate leinster championship(think its on two weeks against the Louth Champions)

| Are these suspensions, still carrying over form 2007 or are they separate, I have no connection to the club but it seems excessively harsh that a ban is still in place four years down the road. When you look at what lads get away with all the time it makes you wonder.
Even this ban on home game I don't think I've ever seen that before at this level.

| That two Moorefield players viz James Lonergan and Kevin Murnaghan be suspended for four weeks in the same code and at the same level, inclusive of the next game in the same Competition of that Competition year even if the game falls outside the suspension time period
according to this does it not mean that the lads suspension started against tyrellspass and from 4weeks from that game there suspension was up which would mean they can play sunday?

| Portlaoise look to to strong for Moorefield with the two lads gone and with the match in Portlaoise. Its between them and Crokes for Leinster. | |

| sorry for wrong info.YOU ARE RIGHT CENTREBACK.Both lads suspensions are up so Kevin will be playing if picked on sunday.James is still away.We have to give up home advantage but dont know if its in portlaois or neutral. But with a laois man chairman of leinster council i wouldnt hold my breath for a neutral venue | |

| It was always going to be Portlaoise - all the Moorefield lads had it as in Portlaoise on Sunday themselves, even though Leinster Council didn't! The Tyrellspass game was in Mullingar and that was slated to be a home game. This is the last of the suspension and if they win, they will have Kilmacud in Newbridge.
Don't know was James Lonergan that much of a loss, Sarsfields scored 1-8 and kicked five wides, two of them in injury time at the end. I'd be surprised if Jack Sheedy would pick him now anyway, even if he was around.

| Agree Ogie, I thought Moorefield were dominant for most of the game against Sarsefields. If they had their shooting right in the first 20mins they would have had at least another 5 or 6 points on the board at half time. Heard that Portlaoise struggled past Arles ? I think Moorefield have a good chance, provided they're still not celebrating. | |

| Kilmacud will be tough too - Portlaoise struggle last year as well in county final and got to All-Ireland - their problem in Laois is that they're looking ahead and have almost been caught. Almost, but not caught. Zach Touhy played for them last week and scored a few points, dunno if he's available Sunday, will have to be returning to Oz soon I'd be thinking. | |

| farce of a disciplinary sytem in the gaa at the moment. the association seems to be devoid of a level playing field when it comes to suspensions and appeals. if a supporter strikes a ref they are given life bans, wheres if a player (using eoin bradley eg here) strikes a ref they can lodge a successful appeal and get their year ban halved.
the mind boggles with the GAA sometimes

the mind boggles with the GAA sometimes Yeh its like a game of lucky dip, move that goalpost a little to the left now back to the right and forward a little......

| Moorefield got hopped off for the dromard game which i have no problem with but were portlaois not involved in some shenanigans during and after there all ireland semi last year against killmurray and no punishment was handed down.Just another example of the GAA and its inconsistencies and another example of kildare and its clubs been unfairly punished | |
