"Kerry legend Paul Galvin is set to become a TV star next month when he takes over from Sean Munsanje on TV3's Xpose.

Sources say the football star may sensationally turn his back on his job as a teacher to join the entertainment programme.

According to the Sunday World, the Kingdom's "hardman" will replace popular star Sean Munsanje to take his place alongside Glenda Gilson, Karen Koster, Lisa Cannon and Ashling O'Loughlin on the magazine-style show that attracts almost 100,000 viewers every week night.

Galvin, who has four Provincial and four All-Ireland titles, is believed to be taking a leave of absence from St Brendan's College in Killarney, where he teaches geography and Irish to secondary school students, so that he can pursue a career in TV and television.

Over the past three years, Galvin has been making regular TV appearances in an attempt to boost his profile -- and now TV3 has offered him his dream job.

He has made several appearances on television chat shows, including the Miriam O'Callaghan summer show and Tommy and Hector's Craic House last Christmas on RTE.

The 30-year-old forward has been a regular on Dublin's social scene in recent years."

Maybe himself and Donal Og Cusack should write a book...........

How would you show your face, Kerry people are a traditional breed that like to keep everyone grounded, he will get some funny looks everywhere not least his own county. But sure the chap doesn't seem to take much into consideration on or off the pitch. Anyway who are we to judge how he makes a living even if he dresses like a girl

Yeah he's a teacher isnt he. Civil servant. Cushy number and guaranteed pension unlike the rest of us. Why would he want to work with that fella Gilson?
