Back to my biggest gripe with our competition set up. What is the main criteria for selecting who plays in what grade?
Did Aylmer Gaels not win the u21 B last year winning most of their matches very comfortably? Allenwood are a senior club are amalgamated and are in the same grade as 5 intermediate 1 junior and a second team. Imagine taking training of one of these panels and explaining how level the playing field is particularly if its one of the teams that got a hiding from them last year.
This is not anti Aylmer just how are smaller clubs gonna keep lads that have finished minor not strong enough for first teams when this the way they are treated.

Dont think its quite that simple Seamus, In my opinion there's a big difference in Aylmer Gaels and Barrow Gaels. An amalgamation of 2 inter clubs or a senior club with anyone else should maybe be put in the A.

Lazy grading , how anyone could put rathangan and twomilehouse in the same championship is beyond me . Management will have some job getin our lads to believe we have a chance . Every team should look at the teams in there group and say , yep we could win this .

Who won the Minor A & B at this Age Group ?
Monasterevin might struggle without Wayne Fitzpatrick..
TMH with Healy, Burke Brothers, Sherry, Julian, Darcy etc will be very strong Favs.

heard rathangan had 4 goin for trials , tommy o connell , craig shannon and the briody brothers . How many make it is anybody guess , im sure tmh will have more on trial than 4 ps. eoghan boyle was in for trials as well

Minor a 2011 was Celbridge, beat Castledermot in final

I think it was Raheens and kilcock in the minor B final in 2011 with kilcock winning the final realistically in the B I would say at least 8 teams will fancy their chances... There's not much difference between them... Will be interesting to see last years finalists up against each other in aylmer Gaels and larries

Kildare Minor Trials to be held on Sat 18th at 10am ............U21 B Championship and C Comp starts that evening at 4pm .......... Laughing
