| So the season begins on Wednesday. Four weeks to the league opener with Dublin. What does Cian do. Should he play an experimental side to try and find a couple of new faces or field a strongish team to get ready for the league. It's a fine line to tread. The obvious answer is a mix of both but what positions do you experiment with. Our weakness has been our defence so maybe we can concentrate new faces here. Another midfield option would be nice so again a new player here. It will be interesting to see the team named. Looking forward to it. | |

| Moolick should be Feely's partner until we find someone better. He was badly missed against Armagh. Definitely need changes in defense, whether that is in personnel, tactics or positional switches. We also need to find the best roles for Flynn, Kelly and both Cribbens to get them more involved. Not going to find out much in the next two games I fear. | |

He is a natural lump of a man, but he could be helped.

| Plenty of lads there hoping to stake a claim. Catsy in fairness is a man who will be looking to show O'Neill that he was wrong to drop him last year. Good chance for the two Flynns too. Best of luck to the lads anyway! | |

His worst game of year | |

| O'Neill is the best underage Kildare keeper I've seen, brilliant kickouts.
For me, there's four places up for grabs in the backs - personally, the only two nailed-on starters I'd have are Hyland and Doyle.
I've no idea why everyone is so down on Moolick. People go on about his pace... Lads I can tell you, Tom Parsons is no speed merchant and he gets on just fine.
Otherwise, be interesting to see how Luke Flynn, Sherry and McLouglin get on. I rate them all v highly so hope they do well.

| Interesting team. I think Luke Flynn and Mark Sherry could add more mobility around midfield/wing forward. I agree that there are places up for grabs at corner back and wing back so it will be interesting to see how those selected get on.
Hopefully we'll see a bit more competition for places this year unlike last year where the team more or less picked itself.

| I still think L Flynn is a man for midfield and then back towards his own goal. Sherry is the opposite. Two strong runners and what we seem to be bringing in is more pace. | |

| See Rory Feely is committing to soccer for the year after signing for Waterford - his "home" club - from St Pat's. | |

| Beat Longford by 11 and it's on to the semis as the dream of number title 12 will still be alive. From mere reading updates two early goals will hurt, seemed to fight back well in first half against strong wind, second half a write off? | |

You’re (unusually) reading too much positivity into it Tommy. I’ll do a write-up in the morning but it won’t be pretty. Still it’s only the OBC.

| Might have only being the OBC but that was awful stuff. Once again let a team walk all over them without putting a hand on them. No structure to the defense or the attack. At one stage in the first half when we were attacking we emptied out of our own half leaving it two on two in our half of the pitch. Lucky we won a soft free otherwise a turnover would have resulted in another goal. when we did have the ball to attack we put way to many players inside the opposition 45. Louth played with two extra men back. we would push forward and at times put 7 men inside the 45. By doing this all you have done is crowded out the area you want to be shooting in. There was almost 20 players in the area, how are you suppose to find your own man and if you do he is running away from goal. Watch Louth when they had the ball attacking. Put 3 players in the attacking zone and leave the rest outside it. This gives the chance of finding a man our at least when there is a runner coming through he is running towards goal.
I have always stood up for the players and say that they owe the supporters nothing but my God at some stage they owe themselves and the management team some respect.
"They are young they will learn" I'm not so sure.
