Hill 16 on Sunday

Very nice Sam.

Just looking through loads of pics on sportsfile. Really brings back great memories. One thing though. Those black and white chequered flags are dreadful.

Totally agree I hate them. have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of flags around, even on cars.

As Sam has said a win on Sunday and everything will change. There will be lads coming out of the woodwork to get tickets.

I have no problem with people coming out of woodwork to games as long as the regular punters get in. What does knarl me however is when the 'daytrippers' come out and start slating the lads if they are beaten on the day in question. Nothing worse than to have to listen to that from people who go to 1 game a year

Tell them to mind their mouths. I'd have no issue telling someone who is dishing the abuse to shut it.

The problem with the tickets is the same as it always has been. The lads going to the league games get shafted for someone who fancies a day out and who just happens to know the right people.

AS much as it annoys me I hope the county is ticket crazy in a couple of weeks.

I'll echo that last sentence JME. I still remember shifting around nervously on the eve of the '98 final only to get a ticket from a source in Cavan ! Ridiculous set up really but one I hope to have to endure again soon

there should be some sort of system where if someone has ticket stubs or programmes or something from other games in the year they get to purchase tickets. hopefully we'll all be lookin for them for the semis after sunday!

Lads will ye stop, ye're talkin bout getting tickets for finals and we've not even played the quarter, we all know what happened Sligo in the Connacht final. One game at a time lads, we'll worry about tickets another time.

What's the numbers like for Sunday? Any figures on tickets county board sold? Hopefully a lot more than last weekend. Maybe its just all the Saturday matches but I was disappointed last wknd with the numbers! It has to be some sort of record though that this is our first game of the championship on a Sunday and its our 7th!

I would expect about 40,000 to 50,000 to be in croker tommorow

Agree with vodofone, it was almost like the not so old days with the shirts and banners. It even looked whiter when a lot of ye took off your jerseys.

Those meath fans in the hill on sunday should be all ashamed.One meath fan shouted when Dermot was been carried of ,God he looks like Death.
Didnt take me long to shut them up.And when we got going it was great.
All we need for the next day is that big white Kildare jersey

The craic on the hill was fecking mighty. Have to say we were outnumbered but the kildare fans more than made up for it. Some serious banter around where I was. Some good natured and some not so good natured.

The best part of all was the thundering chanting and banging on the stairs and under the terrace afterwards. Jaysus lads that was something else.

I have a feeling the hill will get a serious whitewash for the semi.
