Well they are playing the All Ireland champions in fairness! Diane and the management have done some unreal work with this squad and bringing on the younger players. Niamh Farrelly coming on early yesterday looked a special talent. A minor last year and only played a couple of minutes senior before playing in Croke Park yesterday.

Niamh will be a brilliant player & fair play to Diane for giving her a chance

I actually though Kildare were not at their best yesterday which make their achievement even better with plenty more to come.

They most certainly were not at their best. Didn't look at it at all but that was a mean Tyrone defence in fairness and they had a plan that they executed well. There would want to be a huge improvement before they play the dubs but the quality is there.

Brought back to earth today! Welcome to senior football. Meath will beat us but we'll get a win v Laois in 2weeks.

Dublin were a different level in every way. The physicality was something to behold up close. The loss of Roisin Byrne was huge. Massive. The flip side of that is the emergence of Niamh Farrelly. What a super talent she is. Laois didn't let Meath get too far ahead today so Meath won't be what they have been in the past. If Roisin is fit then I give them a chance. Funnily enough if they lose to Meth and beat Laois then they will be in an All Ireland group with Dublin. Lose to Laois and Meath and they will avoid Dublin in the All Ireland series.
The improvement in ladies football in the county has being amazing to be fair and a credit to all involved. All the underage teams are doing so well and the minors winning their 3rd Leinster in a row. Sure there will be bumps on the road like yesterday but if we bring the talent that is there at underage level through we will be one of the top teams in the coming years.
