2024 Ladies Football

Possibly one of the greatest ever results for a Kildare ladies team. They are absolutely showing that they belong at this level. Diane O'Hora has taken them to different levels with training and preparation.

Very strong start to the league campaign, Donegal reach the semi finals once and quarters twice in the last 3 years which makes winning up there all the more impressive.

Huge turnover in the team between winning intermediate in 2016 and again last year and if anything they look to be improving again this year.

Great result & it wasn't a big surprise if anyone knew about ladies football. Kildare are at 95% full strength where alot of teams are trying new players during league. I said it before Xmas on this that kildare will get promoted & they will easy enough.

I think Monaghan were close to full strength last week and Donegal had most of the team that played in the All Ireland quarter final last year. Either way, these girls are on some roll.

Great result but i think they won division 1 games under Paul Kelly back in the Brianne leahy days

Another great result at the weekend. Lots of new faces getting time. Kildare completely outclassed Cavan for most of the game and shut them out completely in the second half. Their conditioning at this time of the year is very impressive. Nice crowd from Kildare there too.

An EGM has been called for tonight between the County Board and players/management.

Any idea what this is about?

The trouble between players/Management and County board has gotten worse... The Executive Committee will all be offering their resignations & seemly they won't be asked to stay on. Once again The County board are holding these great bunch of players back.

Alot of happy lgfa county players happy leaving the EGM tonight. County board wanted Diane to step down... some cheek

Any reason why they wouldn't? Again just no clue re background and not looking to libel anyone.

But, it doesn't make sense...then again the time the camogie women won the Junior All-Ireland there was a lot of push and pull between the Playing Set-up and County Board...

180 wasn't provided to senior team!!! Also 34k from GPA was not allocated out!!

It was provided to them the figure was agreed with the senior management.

Not sure of your grievances with them and I wouldn`t be a fan of some of them but what happened here is wrong these people are volunteers and I might mention its not the first time Diane has been involved in a situation like this.

That's a good point. Roscommon & Meath got rid of her but she's getting results for kildare so that's backing her up

One ray of light in Kildare football that shouldn't go unrecognised is the performance of the ladies team. 18 wins in a row is some record. I have no idea about the business with the CB board and to a degree I don't care too much.

You have a group who are proud to wear the Kildare jersey and have gone out and performed time and time again. They have won games in style & the dirty games like yesterday. They have a structure, game plan and a belief as a group that other Kildare teams could learn from.

Yesterday I went to the wrong Kildare game, it was the ladies that deserved to be supported more. For anyone like me who has had enough of the other s***show and won't be going to the games anytime soon I would suggest you make it a positive protest and go support the ladies instead. They 100% deserve it.

AND THE MINORS, HAVING REACHED THE ALL IRELAND FINAL LAST YEAR STARTED THIS YEAR ON SATURDAY WITH A MASSIVE 9 - 11 TO 2 -56 PASTING OF LAOIS-- ALL GOOD SIGNS=====

This team are phenomenal. 22 games unbeaten is outrageous. The silverware following deservedly behind.
