| Another song for the lads, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTBSCOY7nGIAfter a couple of listens the lyrical genius becomes more and more clear, "We'll get oul Sam Maguire and we'll fill him full of beer, we'll hug him and we'll love him and we'll bring him back next year" | |

| Those kind of songs are the only thing I don't like about being a Kildare supporter, like jaysus lads, do people really listen to that type of music? Saying that I would gladly hear them every time I switch on KFM if we win a couple of more games this year. | |

| I agree Stanley. Most of them are cringeworthy but they're all part of it I suppose.
Hopefully we'll finally win the bloody thing this year and someone will persuade Christy Moore to write a new version of Joxer Goes To Stuttgart. Something like Dowling Goes To The Big Smoke.

After a couple of listens the lyrical genius becomes more and more clear,
"We'll get oul Sam Maguire and we'll fill him full of beer, we'll hug him and we'll love him and we'll bring him back next year" Could do with a bit of bass and a more prominent rhythm

| Could be worse, on Friday a group from Dublin, the merry ploughmen sent a song into George hook proclaiming Sam was coming home to Dublin. George played it on Monday while laughing his ass off. A cruel world it surely is. | |

New found respect for George there so. Be great if Christy came out with something alright, be great to be able to have us all belting along to the chorus of "Johnny goes to Croker" at the homecoming in September...

| Apparently Christy was lined up for a song after 98 if we'd won. Ah well. There's always this year. | |

| How's about something like ... "How's it goin' there everybody, From Cork, New York, Dundalk, Gortahawk & Glenamaddy, Here we are in the Co. Kildare, It's a long long time since Sam was here, There's the Curragh and the Hill of Allen ....." | |

Kildare, It's a long long time since Sam was here, There's the Curragh and K Club and Hill of Allen and the National Stud, James Kavanagh, Daryl Flynn, Glen Ryan and Johnny Finn, Greats from past and present everywhere, If it's All-Stars you want, You should get to Kildare

| Verse 2 Everybody wants to be King Even if it means jumping in the ring Some head off to exotic places But in Conleth's Park there's familiar faces Pat Lynch and Billy Dunne Are optimistic, but nothings won A cousin of mine knows Mick Foley A cousin of hers fancies Roli Summer comes around each year Hopes are high, we're full of cheer Get the breakfast down in Toughers Before we all head off to Croker
Need a new title and chorus. Any takers ? Oh Sam Maguire ?
