| I don't think clane would be too worried about their back pitch being bad as most back pitches are bad in all fairness their first pitch is very good..athy's surface looked very good at the schools match recently also..they have a new back pitch to play football this time of year on.. | |

| haha brilliant thread...have to start jogging the memory now.
before Moorefield had the works done a few years ago they definitely would have been a shout. Think most clubs in all fairness have fairly decent facilities these days. you do get the few boggy pitches like Milltown which are tough on the legs when its wet.
Best pitches are easier Sarsfields, Laurences, Kilcullen, Two Mile House, Clane...

| some very contrasting opinions here esp raheens some people have it down as one of the worst pitches and others have it down as one of the best i would rate it as a goodish pitch but not one of the best.
worst pitchs: cappagh for def is the worst don`t know how anyone else hasn`t picked it suncroft rheban
best pitchs: sarsfields leixlip kilcullen

| Lads Castledermot is a field with goalposts!! KIlcock has stupid astroturf lines on it that have worn away to leave the 14, 21 and goalmouth a deathtrap. moorefield and castlemitchell are not bad pitched but the wind is whoooore! kill is also sloping at a horrible angle
Have to say we have good quality pitches (Weather permitting) apart from that

| No offence to ellistown people but I hated playing on your pitch. Grass was usually very long and for big lads like me it hampered my usual cheetah like ability to cover short distances in lightening bursts. Still usually always got out front though.
The only pitch I was ever booked on also, Bad times.

Jaysus I thought you'd like that one, you seem to give them a good trimming anytime you played them the last few years.
