castledermot playing in SFL 1 next year then by the looks of things? what are they like? i see their minor teams are pretty decent lately.

Your right Taibi, thought it was the last round this weekend but there is another round. Well it's do or die for Towers against Leixlip.

Towers & Rathangan gone from Div 1 I believe

Leixlip luckly to beat Towers by a point with an injury time free

Towers and Rathangan gone from Div1, Castledermot and St.Kevins promoted to Div1, Kilcullen gone from Div2 and either Ballymore (on 10, play Eadestown in final game) or Milltown (on 9, play Kilcock in final game) will join them, Sallins and Grange promoted from Div3.

Sarsfields and Celbridge confirmed as the Div 1 final, is there any game of consequence in any of the divisions next weekend?

^^^ Apart from Milltown and Ballymore battling to stay in Div2 against Kilcock and Eadestown respectively, no there isn't, all dead rubbers. We had a game earlier and a farce wouldn't begin to describe it.

Ballymore have to play local rivals Eadestown away next weekend and need a win to stay up (if Milltown win). Ballymore's manager is Liam McLoughlin from Eadestown too so should make for an interesting match.

Lads if both Miltown and Ballymore win next week does this not mean that ballyteague could be pulled into the battle to stay up?? Did Clogerinkoe win yesterday against castledermot??

On another note would league semi finals not prevent so many dead rubers ???

One of the troubles with League semis is that when only two are promoted , you could have the League winners actually not being promoted and .It happened to us a few seasons ago , lost one game all season in the league proper, topped the table at the end , won the semi , lost the final to the fourth placed team !

3 up and 3 down. Top 2 promoted and bottom 2 relegated.

Final position for both relegation and promotion decided by a play off between 3rd to 6th place teams for promotion and 11th to 14th place for relegation. Makes it more competitive and more inteteresting.

Need to be a little bit more imaginative with the league formats they are gone very stale and need a bit of thinking outside the box.
