Fair comment... The draw was done a few weeks ago and the fixtures should have been done and dusted the next day or two.... Same old failings.... It's true, lads do need more notice to plan for fixtures like this...

| In general any games on a friday at 6pm will be near impossible for lads coming from work, college etc. to make in time and prepare properly.
Most notably suncroft v ballymore in naas at 6. This the same day as the races, not sure what time races are fixed for but surely there will be heavy traffic either way. near laughable what a joke....

| I'd be slow to knock the Co. Board on (a) the delay in the announcement of the fixtures and (b) the timing of matches, without knowing the facts.
From past experience I know that once the draw has been made Clubs will make representations for what day and what time they want to play. If that doesn't coincide with what their opponents want negotiations often follow between the Clubs, which I presume is the reason for the delay in releasing the fixtures.
If the two Clubs come back and say they've agreed on a date and time it's not likely that the Co. Board will deviate from this and this can lead to some odd throw-in times.
When they can't agree the Co. Board ultimately make the decision.

| Remember going to a game in newbridge at 2 last year, next game was on at 5 and then 6.30. Left after the 2 o'clock game and was trying to get a reciept or something to get back but was told that the early game was a stand alone fixture so would have to repay to enter. Such a load of my auld bollix

| 6 games between Hawkfield and St. Conleths means more money into the coffers for the County Baord and in fairness Hawkfield is a great facility and should be used alright and the county grounds should always get used for championship but should be a triple header.
Would someone like to explain to me also why Ellistown and Ballykelly have to travel to Athy to play a neutral game? Are there no grounds closer?
Cant quite get my head around why Naas should get two games though while every other club gets either 1 or none? Oh yeah sure the Fixtures Co-Ordinator / County Chairman is from Naas... Makes perfect sense.
