The Season is back and a nice draw for the hardcore fan home all the way if we keep winning until the Final.
Ironic, that just a matter of a couple of weeks after the reduction of the capacity there is a early season match looming in Newbridge against Dublin/ Laois. Could be a big crowd at that if it goes the way as expected.

| Very happy with that draw, would be great to get a shot at the dubs early in the year in Newbridge. Could be tricky getting by one of the colleges first, although we made short work of DCU last year. | |

| except that the College team, depending on who you get, might well be favourites having been training solid ahead of the Sigerson, depending on what team Kildare has out... put it this way, I don't expect to be seeing JD! | |

They didn't have him last year in fact they only had a mid strength team out but won it outright and beat DCU with ease. Kildare team from last year S Connolly; C Fitzpatrick, M Foley, O Lyons; E Callaghan (0-1), M Scanlon, D Whyte; H Lynch (0-1), P O’Neill (0-2); M O’Sullivan (0-3), E O’Flaherty (0-1), T Moolick (0-2); K Ennis (0-1), W Heffernan, F Dowling (1-0). Subs: H McGrillen for Foley (half-time), A Smith for Ennis (46 mins), K Cribbin for Fitzpatrick (46 mins), R Walsh for Dowling (57 mins), E Bolton for Lyons (70 mins).

| Would love to see this competition bite the dust. It'd make much more sense to start the league games around that time meaning you could start the championship earlier meaning less chaotic club fixtures later in the year. Guess it's easier said than done though.. | |

Nine of that starting team played championship last year, and 13 of the 20 players used. Yeah, was amazed by that win over DCU, was very disappointed in DCU that day. Didn't seem up for it and fell flat on their faces in the Sigerson as well in the end.

| DIT confirmed as our first round opposition. http://leinster.gaa.ie/fixtures/obyrnecup.aspProvided they have their intercounty players available then they'll be able to play the likes of Parsons, Freeman and O'Shea from Mayo, Bryan Menton of Meath, McKiernan who captained the Cavan under 21's, and a few players from the Dublin minor and under 21 teams. Don't think the likes of Bolton and Diarmuid Connolly are studying again there this year and the Paul Galvin thing was a one year flop from a footballing point of view too. | |

| What is the point of putting Kilkenny into it... Carlow IT would have been a much better option. Typical GAA. | |
