Could have been a worse draw, nice to have some fixtures to look forward too. Athy or Hawkfield for the Louth game unless we give up home advantage?

Jaysus every year despite so much heatbreak and shit when it gets to this time of the year again I literally start buzzing with excitement and can't wait until January so the intercounty season starts back.

Id say Hawkfield for the Louth Game.. dont think Louth have a Venue floodlight either, other than Darver Id say.. and thats far from suitable.

If it is true about some of the names being put forward by clubs for senior trials, then god help us. Some names are laughable

Wouldn't worry about that Botch, more of a PR exercise. Flanno, Murphy Brennan and O'Neill himself will know who's up to it and who's not!! If a club wants to send a loyal servant in for trials or the chairmans son or whatever let them! It'll keep them sweet and the management team will see what they are like fairly quickly!!
Covers the county management team from abuse down the line that x or y never got a fair shot!!

7 or 8 Moorefield lads.

I heard a few younger lads have already dropped off due to not being able to commit due to college etc.

there a panel of 50 at moment with some will playing with colleges for o byrne cup . there a hole new gym work begin done, frist training has taken place its was a full at speed with o neill taking charge of it

That was just a little test to make sure you guys hadn't entered too much into the Christmas spirit too early.

Delighted to see Morgan back on the panel with McGrillen.. Morgan in particular is class at reading a game and sorely missed. We badly need to work on the defensive set up and having two experienced lads like that back in is a huge boost. I'm sure there'll be some who say "well we won nothing when they were here last time" but let's see how O'Neill utilises his resources.

It is good to see the two guys committing because they are wholehearted players and maybe the year out will have helped to recharge the batteries, Morgan is a good sweeper and playmaker, Hugh did a great job as a corner back while never being a natural in the position, is good to have his experience back in the squad but will be a challenge for him to see where he can now make an impact, don't see him as a corner back or full back, is there a position for him ?

Pity to see O Grady leaving the panel, given Peter Kelly's injury record, it is a big loss as we are not exactly blessed with full back options.
