| Ok folks I'm gonna kick it of by hoping to see 6 or 7 new players making the breakthrough in the league. It's time to look forward and bringing back players is not an option. Promotion from div 3 is a must and if I'm honest iv written off the championship. We are miles away from a leinster so a couple of games where we are competitive will be enough for THIS year. | |

| Leixlip to win something in mens football!! and to become competitive in championship again.
Kildare to get promoted from division 3. Kildare to hopefully navigate way to leinster final, and again BE competitive, no hidings!!!!
Conleths to be blown up and rebuilt.(or at least something done in the way of a new stand)!!

| Ah im sick of this. Doing up Conleths is pissing money down the drain. Update the dressing rooms and the Jacks. I think it has been close to full twice in the last 15 years from my memory. That does not justify an extension. As it is a small crowd can create a great atmosphere there because it is fairly compacted.
The pitch itself is perfect to play on. Make the dressing rooms bigger and put in new jacks and maybe money could be spent on media facilities.
Spending on anymore than that is a waste of money that could be better spent on building an all weather pitch or paying for more coaches to come to our schools! |

Conleths to be blown up and rebuilt.(or at least something done in the way of a new stand)!! That part in bold pretty much sums it up for me. For those writing off the championship, you probably didn't expect us to reach an All Ireland QF in 2015. Nor did I and maybe we'd have been better off not getting there! But I've been quite taken reading Jim McGuinness's book the last few days by how similar The Donegal situation was when he took them over to the state we are in today. I always remember that hammering they got against Cork I think the year before he took over (?). Sport is all about confidence and momentum - I refuse to believe Donegal had inherently better footballers than Kildare. I am always an optimist the few days before the O'Byrne Cup starts. Can't wait !

| Why on earth would you write off the championship before 2016 even starts? We have an exceptionally generous draw in leinster for starters and I dont see any reason why we cant reach the last eight again. | |

| First priority is getting out of Div 3, in terms of championship, we should be able to get to a Leinster Final with that draw, fact of the matter is we are not at Dublin's level and more than likely won't be by July but I would be hoping we could be competitive with them and we could get a decent draw in round 4 of the qualifiers and get back to the quarter final again.

| A senior team that's hard to beat.
Some of the underage talent of recent years coming through and showing that they're up to senior football.
Further progress from players like Niall Kelly, Paul Cribbin and Eoin Doyle to develop into consistent match-winners. No major injuries.
More underage silverware.
Further progress off the field on the financial and fundraising side of things.

| Promotion. Leinster final appearance thanks to a favourable draw. No more hidings. Kevin Feeley and Neil Flynn getting a chance. U21 team to be competitive. Actually confident we will be a lot better this year. Hard to imagine Jason Ryan was so out of his depth throughout the league last year. O'Neill has been operating at a much higher level in recent years and will bring a lot of new ideas and a renewed enthusiasm in the players. Better days ahead | |

| Apart from the obvious of getting out of the div 3 wilderness and a run in Leinster, the thing I want to see most of all is being able to watch a match from the stand and see a definite way of playing. At no time during Ryan's tenure did I once look at a game and think the players knew how they were supposed to play. Once the players know their job, we will be much harder to beat.
I'd love to see a couple of new players emerge. Players who excite, I'm hoping the likes of Feeley, Flynn, Sherry and Cahill can make a breakthrough.
I'm more optimistic than I have been for a few years and looking forward to Sunday.

| Gain promotion in the league. Get to a Leinster final and not be hammered. Players improve. Some more players come through. A system to build on. U21 and Minor Leinster's (hopefully) | |

| Just finished reading the Jim McGuinness book as well and the main thing that stood out was how much players and teams can be improved with good coaching. Donegal in 2011 were more or less where Kildare are now and he transformed them with the work done in training. You can also see players in other counties like Eoghan O'Gara and Donal Vaughan who have improved no end with good coaching. I think this is where we've fallen down in the last couple of years. There's probably only a handful of players who have improved in this time and you'd expect that to happen naturally anyway. Hopefully Cian O'Neill and his coaches can improve the players skills individually and along with a more defined way of playing, our fortunes should improve. | |

| I hope to god that your tongue is planted perfectly in your cheek with that team. I'd hope no more than 3 or 4 of that team start. It's a chance to blood players not run out the lads who didn't bother last year. | |

Dan Flynn would have a lot to prove before he would get on the championship team ahead of Padraig O'Neill in my opinion. He had a lot of talent but needs to deliver consistently. Not a bad team but it only really has Kevin Feeley and Neil Flynn as new players from the last couple of years. I'd be hoping the likes of Luke Flynn, Ryan Houlihan, Mark Sherry and Ray Cahill could push for places over the next few months.

| Yeah I rate Paudie too JC and I reckon Sherry will get a fair amount of game time. As for the others.... who would you drop? I wouldn't put Cahill in the same class as the two corner forwards I have in there. Have to see who's in form I suppose. | |

| Like to see 2 really consistent free takers emerge. Left and right footed. | |

Luke Flynn could be an option at full-back which has been a problem position for us since Mick Foley played there. It would take him a while to get used to playing there at county level but playing in Division 3 might be a help in this case. Houlihan can play at right wing-back and could provide cover if Emmet Bolton was injured or lost form. Cahill could play centre-forward as well and seems to be a good free-taker. A few months of inter-county training and coaching can bring a player on no end. All ifs and buts but I do think it's important to have genuine competition for places. At times last year players were being played when they had clearly lost form. And we were very short of options from the bench at times as well. No problem with the established players keeping their place on the team - as long as their form warrants it.
