| Rumour doing the rounds at the moment that a high profile Down forward is on the way to Kildare. Anyone else hear this? Any truth? | |

| We'll have some team next year. From what has been said we will have "unnamed Down Forward", Niall McNamee, Brendan Murphy and KickingKing said he heard the Gooch was on his way as well. I have my doubts though about that one.

| Kildare team 2012:
1 Christy Moore - skilled pair of hands and a booming voice to keep the backs on their toes 2 Ted Walsh - experienced campaigner who is well able for a bit of verbals with overcocky corner forwards 3 Geordan Murphy - solid full-back under the high ball 4 Luka Bloom - quiet and understated corner back who has a good understanding with the goalkeeper 5 Alan Dukes - reliable experienced player is often deployed as a sweeper to clean up other people's messes 6 Sea The Stars - horse of a player who is unstoppable on his frequent gallops up the field 7 John Devoy - returned from a sojourn in the United States but his hardman reputation has a tendency to preceed him 8 Bob Casey - big lump of a man who won't be outfielded by many 9 Moscow Flyer - possesses a fine leap 10 Ernest Shackleton - workaholic half-forward who would keep running to the ends of the earth 11 Ruby Walsh - master tactician to take hold of the reins on the forty 12 Arthur Guinness - very black and white player, can be brilliant in the right place but is known to throw in a few stinkers 13 Ray D'Arcy - often ridiculed by sections of the fanbase but still hugely popular among the nineties generation 14 Trevor Brennan - great target man who won't take any nonsense from opposition full-backs (or supporters) 15 Charlie McCreevy - divisive player who is known to enjoy life off the field but still capable of spinning something out of nothing
Who needs outsiders?

| interesting if true, there is surely something behind these rumors. don't know what people would think if we went down the road of recruiting players from other counties? | |

There is nowt behind these rumours. It's only because there's little or no football to be talking about these weeks and because of the internet every Tom, Dick and Harry has a platform for their fanciful musings. Could you imagine some of the speculation during the early Dwyer years if a Kildare forum had been up and running? | |

| We have benefitted from players moving to Kildare in the past so how about The Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood lining out on the bench. Would be great for the post game celebrations! | |
