Central council have approved proposals to crackdown on illegal within the GAA. A plan to establish a register of team managers and selector and all involed in county teamalong with their remuneration or reimbursement arrangenments and their number of training session per year was given the council endorsement at yesterday meeting
The documentmust be signedby county chairman secretary and central council delegate and then be submitted to croke park. Counties will be eligible to receeive funding until they return a management resgister and any county or unit found to be in breach will face samctions. It was alsodecidedf vounched expensers and standard milagefor managers will continue

It would answer them better to deal with the problems that are relevant in their association. This is a boring carry over from one of the worst presidents the GAA have had in recent times.

Why should the likes of Paraic Duffy & his cohorts get paid for sitting on their arses whilst complaining & berating managers for being paid?

Page 87 is better, have a look at the games development column. €1,747916 allocated for the whole of Leinster, Dublin received €1,588,000 of that.

Admin fees €8,000,000. But look how it's broken down. Staff and pensions €3,660,729 in 2010 and €3,876, 633 in 2009. So that's €7,537,362 in just two years on wages. Not bad for a supposed amateur organisation. Remember that when you are told by Croke Park it's all about an amateur ethos.

I also love the Admin and sundry expenses as if it's petty cash. €648,236 in two years.

Conferences and travel over €2,000,000 in two years. How do you spend two million on conferences and travel in two years.

But not to worry, we'll tackle the few quid a manager or player gets for making us all this money that allows us to spend near €8,000,000 million on wages. Think about that €8,000,000.

So gather everything up and in the years 2009 and 2010 Croke Park spent €17,544,879 on Admin, not games development, infrastructure, grass roots or player welfare. No just on Admin.

Amateur organisation yeah for the plebs making the money not for the ones spending it.

In 2010, from "the game development fund" Dublin received €1,588,00 while the other 11 counties in Leinster received €159,916 between them. That's a fucking outrage!

Admin Expenses: €8,147,987 Player Welfare: €3,092,310. Says it all really.

Croke Park employs 31 full time staff. Total wages for year ending 2010: €1,482,500 Rolling Eyes

average wage nearly 48,000 but as I don't know what these people do its hard to judge if its good value or not,

figures for the development budget are shocking, if anything the weaker counties should be getting more. Surely the "media" should be looking into this and training camps in the sun for u/14's and how these sit with the ethos of the association

the playing field is getting more uneven all the time.

These figures are a disgrace, how can the gaa be so determined to go after managers when they are spending money like it was water, remindse of the haughey era when he was telling everybody to tighten there belt and he was buying expensive shirts. Is there an over site committee that can look into the turn over and the expenses of the GAA. How Dublin can get all of that money is criminal .
