| As a person I knew personnally I would like to wish Anthony the very best of luck for the future.
Leaving out his remarkable contribution the all things Kildare GAA he was also a very decent bloke who always had time for a chat whenever you met him.
I hope to see him sometime in the next 5 years or so running the line for Kildare in some capacity.
One of my best memories, are there are many, was when he got possession of the ball in the last minute of the Kerry semi final in 1998 and I remember screaming at him ' hold the ball and get to the corner with it'. I need not have worried because by the time I had finished my sentence he was in the corner and the final whistle was blown.
Thanks again 'Rainbow'.

| A great clubman and countyman. Suncroft's finest in living memory. Did I hear Killian Brennan has retired also? | |

| Is that really necessary on this thread?
Two great servants for club and county. Suncroft will struggle without them.

| Rainbow was one of the best half backs in the country for a number of years. And his fantastic longevity and commitment was something special. I can't see two many more men in future lasting as long in inter county football as he did.
Two great servants to Kildare GAA and no doubt Suncroft will miss them.
