Is it just me or does anyone else think that it way too early the have these draws, what is the point, why not have them after the league or around the end of March. The draw for the qualifiers only happens a couple of weeks beforehand, sometimes only 6 days beforehand and the excitement is much greater. I think its not good for teams to be focusing on a particular game/team for up to 32 weeks in advance.

I think its not good for teams to be focusing on a particular game/team for up to 32 weeks in advance. It is too early but the only reason I'd say is to allow plenty of time for fixture planning between the provinces for the scheduling of games (football and hurling) over the following summer and also for TV purposes.

| Nothing against the draw for the Championship being done now but why do we have to wait so long for the fixtures of the league to come out. At least in the chamionship we know that its more than likely on a Sunday and no more than a hours drive away. On the other hand a league game could be on a Saturday night either end of the country but we will not find out when the fixtures are on for defo till the start of the year. Come on lads if you are going to do one competition early at least do the other one as well. | |

| Well draw is on tonight, Kildare, Meath Wexford Dublin will go straight to the quarter and the rest open draw. Can these four be drawn against each other or is it all open draw ie Kildare could play Dublin in Quarter final
Any Thoughts | |

Any Thoughts I think the earlist that they can meet is in the semi finals. They are seperated for the quarter finals.

| Is the lower part of the Leinster draw matched up with the lower half of the Ulster draw when it comes to the qualifiers?
Could be a short summer if that's the case...

| Westmeath or Louth lads, on the decent side of the draw...Louth are a bogey team but we beat them last year well this year so hopefully we stopped that!! Excited, probably Meath in the semi want to get sweet revenge for the beating they gave us in 2012..Hopefully we get a decent manager in...McStay was asked about it and didn't say no??

| Missed Dublin but have our old stumbling block waiting in Louth so even looking beyond that is out of order.
I'm not sure what way the qualifiers work but how does matching up one province with the other work. I would have thought The split would come later in the year after the second round of qualifiers.

| Each province has an A and a B section. We are in the B section in Leinster and can only play teams in the B sections of the provinces in the qualifiers. Armagh, Cavan, Monaghan, Tyrone and Down are in the B section in Ulster so we'd be as well to stay out of the qualifiers for as long as we can! | |

Oh yeah - the qualifiers work as normal except you can only get a team from A or B (B in our case) all the way through.

| Think the idea behind the rule Baba is the the "A"'s play one week and the "B"'s a different week so that club games can be arranged for the week your county does not play.

| that was hopelessly optimistic by Congress. Can anyone really imagine any county player in any county being available to play a club game a week before a qualifier game? | |

| Anyone know if the quarter final between Kildare and Louth/Westmeath will be in Croke Park as part of a double header with Dublin and Laois? |

| I take it that the Leinster Council are not expecting any replay for the Leinster S.F.C. final, but if there is one where would it be played. | |
