| Looking at the draw, a good one for the winners in Kildare. All the big guns on the other side of the draw. | |

| Looks like Rhode are going well in Offaly and Carlow Champions can always put it up. but as you said good to avoid Portlaoise and who ever comes out of Dublin | |

| Yes Rhode would prob be favourites to come out of Offaly and would be hard to beat but looking at the draw will the Kildare team play all their games in Newbridge apart from the final if they were to progress?

| I heard Rhode have been beaten in offaly today, with the two week break the winner of athy/carbury gets, a leinster final is a very strong possibility for either. | |

| The winner of Kildare will be doing well to achieve just that. Any of the big clubs that have represented us in the past have needed a couple of experiences and attempts before ever doing themselves any justice. Winning a title for Carbury or even Athy will be such an achievement they will celebrate accordingly as Celbridge and Laurences did. Resulting in a prompt exit. The likes of the other more seasoned clubs Clane, Towers, Sarsfields and Moorefield were able to curb celebrations to an extent that they can perform in Leinster.
I dont expect too much from our club representitive in Leinster this year.

| when larries and celbridge won their first titles, they only had a week to prepare,so they were bound to struggle given the short turnaround.

| Larries were 6 or 7 points up and threw it away that year as far as I can remember. | |

| That is a serious break for the Kildare winners, they could have 2 weeks of partying and still be ready for the match, great chance to make an impact this year | |

Neither Athy or Carbury will be looking past Sunday but in fairness , it is a good draw.

Neither team can afford to think about anything other than Sunday but once the dust settles, the winners will have time to celebrate and reflect that they might a real chance in Leinster. Does make you wonder why the Leinster council couldn't always schedule the games at this time though

Does make you wonder why the Leinster council couldn't always schedule the games at this time though Because it's very late in the year. What it makes me wonder is why counties can't run off their club championships in time

| Read the match report in the Indo, edenderry seem to be a carbon copy of Athy.
1. went into the club wilderness for a while 2. decided to concentrate on youth
Of their starting 15 yesterday, 10 of the Edenderry team were aged 23 or under, and that includes four 19-year-olds -- full-back David Hanlon, half-forward Ciaran Hurley, corner-forward Derek Kelly and full-forward Stuart Cullen.
