Sash 2.13 Larries 1.09 - Sash got 2nd goal with last kick of the game so scoreline flatters a small bit.

Big win for Carbury, I know Athy are down the county lads but that is still a great start to the league for Carbury.

We scraped past Round Towers in a very poor defensive game.

Just a quick one lads, between celbridge confey and Leixlip their is over 25 senior players form 2017 not playing this this year. Is this a common theme throughout the county or just happening up this end. The Leixlip clubs are supposedly struggling very bad

Heard that aswell but was told today that he tried to headbutt the ref and was calling him all sorts after headbutting a player.

Yep. I have a friend who plays with Cappagh and he told me this. Club are not happy about this.

was at the game. No headbutts thrown, umpire was on pitch, ref put him off and they had words , seemed like a total over reaction from ref to call off the game

This is a classic. One fella says the umpire head butted a player, another says the umpire headbutted the ref and another says the umpire didn’t headbutt anyone and the ref overreacted by calling off the game. Laughing

Sash 1.17 Raheens 0.09 easy enough win for Sarsfields, game was effectively over after Alan Smith got the Sarsfields goal midway through the first half.

Ben McCormack was outstanding for Sarsfields, it looks like Kildares loss could be a massive boost for the Sash.

If he were with Kildare he would play a lot fewer games for Sarsfields.

He is starting a course in Sligo later this week so is not in a position to commit to Kildare at the minute.

Sarsfields is his level I think. Hasn't played a full game for kildare always struggles with form or injuries. A decent club footballer .

Surely Roli could have organised it for him to train with Sligo during the week. Look at alk the Mayo, Sligo, and Donegal players working in Dublin that still manage to play with their counties.

Slan abhaile fellow lillies. I have given up on the game. It bores the absolute shite out of me now. The way it's played is pure depression. Even at club level its pure muck with mass defence football and 5000 handpasses a game. Kildare players betting on their own team was the final straw for me. I don't know how to delete my profile so Administrator when you read this delete my profile. Bye.

It's disappointing he's left the Kildare panel. I don't think we're doing a good enough job bringing our good underage players through. You don't see Dublin's best young players making themselves unavailable, for example.

He's looked really good at times for Sarsfields and for Kildare's under 21's. He started last years league really well but he hasn't played as well since he got injured in the league. Maybe a spell back with the club will do no harm but I'd hope to see him back in a Kildare jersey soon.

He played one good half at U21 level against Dublin in the leinster final. Way off it I think. Anyway may worry about who we have rather that who we could have.
