County players not available for matches supposedly in April.

Number of clubs have written letters protesting to county board and are going to refuse to play league matches without county players in April.

So much for the club window. If this is the case, clubs shouldn’t waste their time asking our own county board to do anything about it. Should go directly to Croke Park, there is probably no official rule Kildare can be punished under but the threat of forfeiting home advantage in 2 league games next season or the docking of points would I imagine make sure that as is the intention this is a month free of inter county activity and clubs will have access to all players for all games played this month.

I think the strike is the way to go - this is coming down the tracks anyway, I'm sure of it, I hope so anyway ... the clubs are supposed to have the players. While the weather messed with a lot of fixtures, it had no impact on Kildare. They should absolutely refuse to play without them but if it's not done together, it will be no good.

No it's not as if players have families or would like to plan something for around the bank holiday weekend. Although should we really be surprised?
