| Mid-June - inglorious championship exit to Div 3 side (joke... er, I hope).
They are still capable of having a good championship but there are huge question marks over the composure and resolve of this team. PLEASE prove me wrong, lads.

| The 2 teams we could/should have beaten, Tyrone and Monaghan have both finished the league strongly. No surprise there as they are seasoned Div 1 teams. In hindsight the league was set up well for us to survive if we had got those early wins and the mood would be totally different in the county now and we would be looking forward to the summer. It's a big test for the manager now and I hope he retains the confidence of the players. It's best to write off the league completely now as we are back where we belong in Div 2. Let the players back to the clubs and enjoying football and regroup for the championship. Still a lot to play for and a leinster final is still very possible and maybe the super 8 as well. | |

| Just crossed my mind today - if Carlow were to beat Louth (as things stand) and then beat Kildare they would reach a Leinster semi-final by beating two teams that don't have a win between them in the league. If Louth beat Carlow then the semi-finalist coming from the Kildare/Louth side will have got there with just one win in league or championship this year, which would give great hope to Laois/Wexford/Westmeath!!!!!! My own guess is that we'll be playing Carlow in the quarter-final. | |

| just read an article about kildare not being in a good state of mind after all the losses etc down in the dumps sort of stuff but the stats say kildare shot ratio is lower than other teams and without naming a player he took thee hail mary efforts from 45 to 50 metres out what did the management team do about this ? nothing to me that sums up how far down the pecking order kildare are ,a player allowed to do this to my mind should be called ashore and given direction if not dont play them | |

My own guess is that we'll be playing Carlow in the quarter-final. Surely Louth would have two wins once they’ve beaten Carlow and us?

| If anyone is looking for a bit of hope for the day that's in it, 9 of the mayo team who lost to Longford in 2010 started the all Ireland final last year. | |

| An amazing - or perhaps not so amazing - stat... Since 1981 - nearly 40 years - Kildare and Mayo the only two counties to play in the All Ireland without actually winning it at any point. Every other county who's played in the final has won it at least once. Oh well, we've only been in one, Mayo have been in ELEVEN.
Small mercies etc. Honestly I wonder if Mayo and Kildare will ever win it in football or Limerick and Waterford in hurling.

| Wouldn't surprise me!!
Actually if you extended back to 58 - exactly 60 years - there are three counties who've made the final without winning at any point: Kildare, Mayo - and Roscommon, who've lost two. A club it'd be nice to get out of some time!

| Get behind the team lads. some of the stuff on this forum is disgraceful. There is quality in the group and in the county . it will come through. like some posts about our club championship earlier in the year , our county champions gave the All ireland winners alot more to think about than the munster champion's. We were very competitive in Div 1 . 2 years ago we were beating shite teams in Div 3 . Get behind the lads . It wont always be dark at 6 | |

Absolutely.. shur we'd never lose a "Championship " match to the likes of Louth, Carlow or eh Wicklow. I mean like particularly Louth. FFS, this is symptomatic of Kildare supporters. Heads up their arses. We have no God given right to dine at the top table and this league campaign showed just how far of we really are. It's like we're back to the pre '97 days: plenty of nice footballers but soft and no bottle. Until they stand up under pressure in Croke Park, I won't be getting excited about our prospects like sarsno1 above.

| This night be a stupid question. But fckit.. and I'll simplify it.. excluding the Dubs, with the League over, what Kildare Player would make a selection on a Div 1 team and in what position ?.. from our ultra talented group. | |
