| True... I know Dubs have all the advantages with resources, finances, playing at home etc, but Jesus Leinster football is more utterly dire than at any stage in my lifetime. If you go back 20 years to when Kildare and Meath were in their pomp, hard to believe it could actually get this bad but it has unfortunately. | |

| Very grim, Meath could actually have dropped to Div 3 as well this year. Westmeath & Laois have given up, and what's happened in Offaly - for a county with their tradition - is nothing short of criminal. Don't tell me that with the utmost effort they couldn't do what Monaghan have done. Leinster Council and GAA don't give a toss of course as long as the Dubs cash cow keeps the bucks rolling in... | |

| What is it with Flynns's and their hamstrings.
Hope it's not to serious but expecting the hamstring to be just about hanging together and him looking at 6 months out.

Hope it's not to serious but expecting the hamstring to be just about hanging together and him looking at 6 months out. Poor hoor - the problem is that it could be anything. Once there's a structural issue, it's so hard to solve. Could be anything from his neck down to his toes - could be his car, could be his job. Remember reading about Michael Owen that they broke down his running technique and taught him to run a different way. Ryan Giggs had to ditch the sports cars... What's certain at this stage is that it is something structural, with his back or his hip or foot. They'll know that of course but knowing it and solving it are two different things, particularly when you can't get the rest in that you need due to work / studies. I know a lot of lads have struggled this way and it's terribly frustrating and a real mental torture. Your heart would go out to him.

How bad is Jimmy Hyland? We could really do without another corner forward getting injured at the minute

| Kildare should progress with or without Flynn imo. So no pressure to get him back for the QF. Surely O Neill cannot be relying on Flynn. This is not a club team. Surely he has options??? | |

| Talking to a few of the Carbury lads they played Sarsfields at the weekend and were raving about Ben McCormack and his point taking think he scored 12 point in all. | |

We will never know how good Ben is until he gets a sustained run for Kildare. Don't remember when he last finished a game for Kildare and does seem very injury prone. Same could be said for Neil Flynn. They were the two great white hopes but still have a lot to prove at county level. Hopefully they will both make it soon.

| You had glimpses of what Ben is capable of when he did play in the white Jersey. It really is a pity beacsue I have seen him many times for Sarsfield and I think he is the real deal.
It will be extremely hard to lift morale after the league. There seems to be some sort or dry rot after setting in with the panel. How this summer fares will make or break O Neill's managerial and coaching career
