Big effort from Naas but kicked it away in reality. Crokes were there for the taking today. Congrats to Allenwood, great win.

Painful one for Naas, was a real opportunity as I felt it would be, albeit beating that Kilmacud team in Croker is definitely a tall order.
Only silver lining is that with the age profile of the team, would be shocked if they get didn’t another couple of serious cracks off Leinster. But I hope they learn from it, cos those sorts of opportunity only come around a handful of times in your career if you’re lucky.
But we can proud of how the three clubs have represented us this year… Congrats to Allenwood and the one & only Johnny D - I genuinely believe at this point Johnny deserves some kind of special, one-off lifetime award from Kildare GAA. His accomplishments over 30-plus years unsurpassed as far I am concerned. Lads I’m telling you, particularly with the way commitment levels are going & players retiring earlier, we will not be seeing the likes of this again.
Anyway, congrats to Allenwood, look forward to seeing them in All Ireland semi-final. Best of luck to Milltown tomorrow.

Superman wears Johnny Doyle pyjamas. What a hero and great servant to Kildare football.

Hard luck to Naas today. They were the better team in the second half but Shane Walshe was the difference. Plenty of condescending analysis during the week from so called experts who hadn’t even watched Naas play this year. Naas are a great side and proved today they belong with the best in the country!
Congrats to Allenwood on a super victory. Johnny Doyle is some servant.
Hopefully Milltown can get the job done tomorrow!

Well done Allenwood, delighted for them and Johnny Doyle.
Naas played really well and almost had them on the rack towards the end, unfortunately when you are up against a club team that can buy inter county players from not just outside their local area but from outside the county, even outside the province, it will always be harder.
Best of luck to Milltown this afternoon.

U23 Final Towers 1-13 TMH 0-14. Hawkfield.
Towers got the first 2 ponts. TMH took control and were very powerful down the middle. Half time 0-10 to 0-6 they led.
Towers came out 2nd half with a 5 point blitz. TMH with a few. It was 0-14 to 0-13 to TMH with a free in to Towers....
Ball dropped in, a scramble and a goal for Towers. No time for the kickout.
A great game. The ref did well.
It was very tough out there.

Jaysus Tom you got it totally wrong. You mustn't have seen much of Rathangan lately. Good young up and coming team. Will win an intermediate championship in the next few years

Each section get €250k so clubs that have hurling, ladies football or camoige will get a right cut of the €250k as there are less clubs to divide it between.

In the 2 games that did matter today, Allenwood came up just short against a good Cullyhanna side. Sean Moran looks a good player, drove forward a lot in 2nd half. Arva were playing Division 1 this year in Cavan, Milltown division 4 and the gulf in class showed. Congrats to both clubs on a great year.

Any sign of the various boards giving out the JP money to the clubs.
