The only issue I would have with Galvin and its pretty petty. While he was skills coach were playing someone in the league in Newbridge and he put a picture up on Insta of him at home watching a Kerry match on Tg4. I like him when I watched the underdogs. I hope we get a few more experienced lads and the Rochford and Buckley rumours are true.

Players were not listened to by their own clubs when McGeeney was been voted upon. Weren't listened to when statement was released regarding McGeeney about that chronic decision. Was there player input into the apparant management review last year from players were they listened to? Kildare players under this chairman/ county board may have come to the conclusion their opinion is voiceless regardless.

Get over McGeeney FFS. He was here long enough. He had pissed off the clubs beyond repair. There is more to Kildare GAA than the senior football panel. The Geezer was looking to dictate all calendars around club championships. Hundreds of players across clubs weren't seeing any sort of football for months.

Or perhaps I am from one of the over 50 percent of clubs and hundreds of club players who voted him out.

Ah that old narrative.
It's that mentality that will keep Kildare Gaa underachieving for years.
Kildare underage strong and talents been wasted year in year out but sure bury the heads nothing to see here. A county just won an All Ireland with no success at underage level but some like you are happy to let 80 plus years continue.

My own club voted him out and I was a player at the time. We were never consulted. Many other players from those other clubs told me they weren't involved in the process. Players talk you know? One lad from South Kildare laughed at me and said "you think they'd involve us in that"? So don't bullshit me that your club consulted with the players.

I was a player at the time and can say we were consulted.
Anyway it's ancient history. It's divisive too and the kind of thing we need to get away from.

Exactly. We can learn from past mistakes without dragging it all up over and over again. IF it is Flano he needs a bit of time to bed in a new core of players and see who is coming back.

They've picked the right man. A new dawn awaits in a spruced up Conleths.

The only way is up. It's really not a bad time to take over Kildare at the moment .
Redeveloped Conleths Park, new stand, lights, dressing rooms, new chairman and new manager.
The chairman or women going forward will be crucial.
Who Flanagan surrounds himself with is crucial.
Getting out of Div.3 and into the tip tier again is crucial.
Much to look forward to.

Dangerous level of optimism here!! I'm glad to see it in that we can get things moving in one direction.
Any word on who is coming in to for Chair? In fairness Conleths is looking great.
We should have enough to get back up, but I'd like to see a move soon to give them time to get the panel ready.

Farrell is nailed on. Current crew will ensure of that. Merrins will get some sort of bumped up role. Murray will continue in whatever her role is and then she will be an easy choice for next chairman/person. and on and on until the end of time. Outsiders can go fuck themselves.

Reilly nearly got elected a number of years ago from nowhere, he visited clubs with his vision and nearly got over the line. If Andrew mclaughlin or someone from left field ran and put a good plan together clubs would go for it.

Would be great if someone like Tom Cribbin allowed his name to go forward to be the new charman. Is a proven succesfull business man, has been part of managment set ups. Conleths has now been delivered, and there is a huge opportunity to bring a new opptimisim to Kildare, we need someone that will back the new managment team, put structures in place for underage elite development and get people with an interest in Kildare football and hurling to back that financially.

Leitrim didn't hang around. Four weeks after Moran stepped down and they have Mickey Graham in place.
