It matters big time. For a start, the vice chair is in charge of the fixtures - and for a second, he's in poll position for the chair down the line

| Jesus is tht the best candidates that can be unerathed for Vice Chairman?? Poor fair really.
I'd expect Christy Morrisson to win this one, he's well liked around the county and did a good job as Development Officers recently. Ger Donnelly appears to have done well at Bord na nOg but Id be doubtful of his ability to step into the senior setup.
Christy Morrison would be my choice from these 3.

| This is actually a very important election as ogie said, for a start they are fixtures secretary ,and obviously need to be competent ,efficient and fair. Also they are automatically chairman of the CCC ,which require the above attributes along with the ability to be impartial .Having experience of all three candiates at an administrative level i can say that in my opinion two of them are eminently suitable canditates and one has if nothing else the hardest neck in Kildare gaa.Best of luck to Ger or Christy. | |

| fargo thats a bit below t belt, can you tell us what club ur from or have u t balls.p whyte is in a no win position being t chairman of t club that supplys t county with t most county players and he acts on behalf of moorefield club .we have ambitions of adding another leinster title to our silverware collection and its his job to make sure our club have our players ready to play for us when possible.the problem is t voting systems in t gaa where u have every delegate from every mickey mouse club in kildare voting on county team matters and some of these clubs voting havent had and never will have a county player ,sorry went on a bit | |

| No worries about going on ,it was obvious enough from early on in your post that you were going to take a while to get your message across jobluts. Now a lot of your post falls into the beneath reply category , but one thing that cant escape is that you link the administration of a named club to a person already serving on a county comittee ,anyone involved in running a club whether big or small knows that a county officer should at all times be impartial. | |

| I think having somebody on the county board with huge experience of one of the biggest clubs in the county would be a big boost.
As moorefield chairman, whyte obviously has their best interests at heart and does what he thinks is best for them. The fact that he doesn't care who he rubs up the wrong way in doing that is a positive for me.
He went head to head with the county board recently over something that he felt was important for his club when it might have been easier for him to keep his head down and say nothing if he really wanted the vice chair. I, for one, admire him for that and think that somebody who might shake the county board up a bit wouldn't be a bad thing.

| So do I want somebody that disagrees with everything for the sake of disagreeing and just to wind people up or do I want somebody that's objective and can see the bigger picture. Gimme the latter anytime and hence why if it were me I wouldn't be voting for a certain person from a big club............. | |

Wow bet ur Moorefield colleagues here are cringing at that comment or they should be Some people shoot first and think later... Jobluts maybe you can only see one side of the argument.... It takes more than one club to make a county team.... You might supply alot of players but so do Mickey Mouse clubs..... Take of the Rose tinted glasses and look at the bigger picture. Your not the only club in Kildare....

crazy stuff to be saying the last time kildare won a leinster there was no moorefield lads on it and plenty of small clubs were represented Not only was Roli Sweeney on the team and has the medal to prove it, he also scored a point in the first game. Facts need checking before making the big bold statements.
