Looks like those who played v Carlow at particular risk which is no surprise.

"We certainly have ten players to go and we'll take it from there," Ryan told the Kildare Nationalist. "We seem to have one group who are pushing on a little bit further and a little bit faster and they showed that in their performance against Athlone IT and against Longford. Now it's a case of selecting our panel from the three games."

Suspect in addition to O'Brien there'll be no place for Tyrell, Fitzpatrick, Noone, Hanafin, Canning, Kinahan, David Whyte, Paul Kelly, McCormack and possibly Dowling. Konstantin may also be at risk as he wasn't great on Sunday.

I'm sure I'll be totally wrong with that list!

If it is "big" decisions, I would imagine that means one or two of the more expierienced lads. I am not going to speculate on who they are as I reckon we will probably hear names later today.

I thought Rob Kelly did enough on Sunday to justify a place on the panel, I assume his performace in training etc was not to the required standard.....I would have thought that Mikey Conway would struggle to make the panel? If Shorty is gone does that leave only Donnellan and Connolly ?

I hear it Hughie Mahon and the two Kinahans are the other lads gone, there will be a further cut at the end of the O Byrne Cup I believe. Panel of around 45 now.

He is but he is carrying an injury that he picked up playing with Sarsfields last year that is preventing him from being involved in games and training at the minute.

I wouldn't have any issues with those dropped. While Rob Kelly did ok on Sunday it was in the context of a poor game against poor opposition and it wasn't like he was outstanding in the way Fogarty was v Longford. We have other options for that position. Kelly has been terribly inconsistent for the last few years so no great surprise to  me despite his show on Sunday. Ryan is really looking for pace in all areas of the pitch to me and that is another area he isn't blessed.

Does anyone have the full panel - most counties woul just announce it in this day and age.

Easy enough to bring in a third goalie during the year as necessary. Easier to integrate and lowery fitness requirement than an outfield player.

No Rob Kelly, Connor Mellet has played 10 mins but gets in, David White who I didn't even know was back with Kildare and has played no games this year is there.
Some strange ones I think.

Yeah was wondering about David White myself and Fionn has serious potential but should definitely be in there, all though Johnny owes us nothing but hope to god he hasn't retired.

Hopefully JD just taking a break - certainly a huge panel and when I look at some of the names I'm now a bit more surprised at Rob Kelly being dropped. A bit awkward too when he's part of the S&C team is he not ?

Agree with that in all cases but it's a panel of 45 so I'm a slight bit miffed I didn't get the call up myself...

Is a big panel but I'm sure a good few more will go once injuries are overcome! Canning hanafin mellett and Dunne lucky to be there I think! Canning got plenty of game time didn't really perform, others only did okay against weak opposition but let's try them against stronger teams see how they fair! Gately and whyte have not even kicked a ball and have been tried before and were not up to it and were picked seems strange but Quinn must have had a good say on gately! Surely rob Kelly should not have been dropped over them!!

Jesus, we look for changes and when we get some we don't want to let others go.  There is at least 10 more to come off that panel over the next week or so one would imagine.
