Kildare Club Managers

With the likes of Mickser Condon returning to Clane, it continues to amaze me how so many of the same faces keep getting jobs as managers - this applies across the board at both club and county level.
And not trying to single out Mickser, because he has won some stuff I'm sure, but the majority of these guys are moving around so much because they are not successful, so they go from one job to the next more in hope than expectation. And the handy few bob always keeps them motivated too.

Kevin o Brien already has worked in Moorefield....And was interviewed for the job before,but could not take it for Family reasons.

Moorefield manager Luke Dempsey has played down speculation linking him to a club in Westmeath.

Dempsey guided the club to a second consecutive county title earlier this year and he is already looking ahead to achieving a three-in-a-row with the Newbridge outfit.

“Moorefield are going for three-in-a-row next year and that would be a fantastic thing to be involved in,” Dempsey told the Leinster Leader.

“This is a great club; great players, new lads coming in from the under-21s and lads coming back from injury will strengthen up the squad. I have no thoughts of going anywhere but Moorefield.”

Seen Paul Curran a few times when he was in charge of Ballymun and he got the best out of that squad. Was well respected.

He is also a friend of Ex manager of the Moores Jack Sheedy, who would have informed him on the club scene.
I think it would be a great appointment going forward for them.....

Has Cryan ever done anything where he has gone? Didnt set the world alight with Staffan when he was there, Leixlip certainly didnt improve over his tenure

Little harsh there Umpire, when Declan was with us we won both co and leinster c/ships and finished 3rd and 4th in the league which was great for us, we got relegated after he left, and in fairness a lot of managers haven't got the potential out of our neighbours in Leixlip.

Didnt He take Maynooth to an AI Inter Semi Final, losing by a Point ??
