Games Development Funding Empty
PostSubject: Games Development Funding   Games Development Funding Icon_minitimeSat Sep 26, 2015 3:11 am

So now that Dublin have won 3 of the last 5 all-Irelands is it fair enough to ask do they need to get more that 3 times the rest of the leinster counties put together for their games development? GAA has never been so popular in the capital as it is now, do they need this extra advantage to go with all the other resource advantages they have? The ratio of population to funding does not add up.

It's just a question, Dublin have a special funding stream and has had this going back 4-5 years or more.
Do they need it more than other counties in Leinster?

Pg 36 of the document shows the 1.46 million annual spend on Dublin Games Development.

BTW fair play to those who put so much effort into games development in our county. Having beaten the Dublin minor teams in two of the last 3 years its a testament to that hard work and dedication.

I can never understand how the other countries accept the way things are, Kildare clubs and I'm sure it's the same in other countries continue to pay for centers of excellence while Dublin get one built for them under the guise of a national center of excellence. Dublin will always have some in built advantages ie population etc just as we do over some countries but the Gaa seem to want to build Dublin up at the expense of everyone else.
