| Played the Rosies tonight in Hawkfield, very entertaining game / won by a point 1-14 to 1-13 Some good performances, team again feel asleep for 10-15 mins in the 2nd half to go from 6 points up to all square. Smithy came on for 10 mins at the end, scored a cracking point - Dan Flynn again superb. | |

| UCD through to Sigerson Cup final after beating UL 4-12 to 1-9. David Hyland played full back and Niall Kelly played wing forward - apparently Kelly had a stormer and scored two goals. Tommy Moolick came on for the final ten minutes.
Some team UCD have, it's a bit of an all-star line-up... Jack McCaffrey and Paul Mannion in the starting line-up as well, in addition to Ryan Wylie, John Heslin and Meath's James McEntee.

Ciaran Kilkenny was on that team at Freshers level too as far as I remember, either side of his brief stint in Oz anyways. Great to hear Moolick is back and playing, feared the worst when was injured so definitely a good sign if he has been getting a bit of game time lately. DCU bet UCD a few days ago in the Freshers final, Rory Feely got a goal from wing forward (well playing a bit deeper at times) and there was a chap from Maynooth at corner back for UCD - name escapes me though. Hasn't been a lot of Kildare involvement at this level recently apart from the lads at NUIM so it's good to see a number of the younger lads getting a run outside of the county setup.

Is this a cryptic message as regards Kelly's black card or do we have bad news coming? | |
