See Sarsfield beat Moorefield well last night. Moores no points so far.
(Were they considered favs with 13 of last years team)
Is it only top 4 into the semis.??

See Clane and Maynooth had big wins.

Last round

St Laurence's V Naas

Clane V Celbridge

Kilcock V Sarsfields

Aylmer Gaels V Maynooth

Carbury V Moorefield

The top 4 go through to the semi finals. Very flawed system in so far that in the last round of games you have 3 teams with no points and are thereby out of contention however if they field weakened teams and the semi final positions are decided by points difference it could cause a few problems. I would have had the top 2 teams going into the semi finals and 3rd v 6th with 4th v 5th in 2 quarter finals.

I think that was the original plan Gaa1928 but then with county minors getting to All Ireland semi final, they scrapped the quarter finals!

What became of Athy? They in it or has it all gone wrong at that grade too?

They are in the B championshoip Tommy, Couldnt tell you how well they are doing now.

It will be interesting to see the margin of victories in tonight's matches and if it makes a huge difference in who qualifies.

Looks like kilcock and naas finish top on 5pts with maynooth and clane going through on score difference with St Laurences and sarsfields losing out. So maynooth and clane playing the bottom 2 teams tonight made a huge difference

Bad system, but it is what it is. Both Maynooth and Clane played the 2 bottom teams in 2 of their 3 games and that made a massive difference in the points scoring difference and both lost their other game.

Ye it is the price paid for the county minors doing well that it has to be run off quicker. Winning two games out of 3 and losing out on score difference is cruel. When are the semi finals of the A and B going to take place?

Is st columba leixlip / confey amalgamation, and in the C championship ??.

In other years they'd have quarter finals whereas this year there was none Seamus. Yeah columbas are leixlip and confey. Two senior clubs amalgamated and in the C is not fair on the smaller clubs in that division.

Think 2 quarter finals and top two in semi as agreed by clubs last winter was ideal. But again the club player gets shafted and I'll thought of by county board. It is better than last years system where theoretically a team could come 8th on no points and qualify for quarters on score difference.
A champ semi's are midweek next week.

Eadestown beat St Edwards by 4pts tonight in Hawkfield. They play the winners of BME v Monastrevin in the Minor B final.
