sorry, I didn't see anyone say that there was... I just said, as I've said here in the past when the topic has come up, that anyone who ever did object to losing to a team because they had a player that was too young should be embarrassed!! That's all. So if no-one here has objected, then the comment doesn't apply to them.

How did Sallins manage to get into the C championship ? They obviously played a weaken team in the league. This is an issue that needs to be addressed.

No disrespect to Sallins on their great win, but it saddens me that between my club and Confey we can only muster enough lads for the C championship. Very disappointing stuff. And that is no disrespect to any teams in the Championship or indeed lower divisions, but it is frightening to see how we have fallen at this grade - not even competing in the higher division. It is of course not anything new, the signs have been there for years with that crop and section of our underage.

Jaysus Confey and Leixlip between them would have big picks. Yet they join up at minor level and are in the 'C' Championship. Crazy.

Can recall Leixlip winning 3 minors in a row . People from rest of county thought it was doomsday due to population advantage. Bit mad they can only get one team between them now at C level.

Leixlip building numbers again from 15 down , U14's at A final this year beaten by Naas , U13's very competitive, U12's going well. Some great work been done at the academy level and big number from 11'S Down. This age group ( minors ) cant be knocked for trying but a huge drop off at 16 - 18 IN NORTH kildare . This is where the Celtic tiger group lost interest and XBOX generation was born. A lot of work been done in Leixlip to stop the rot. I was hoping that Confey/ Celbridge got to a final this year and give the north of the county a shot in the arm. But we need to rebuild for the future. No point being jealous of sash and Moores for the success they worked hard for it and good luck to them. We can only keep working to producing good footballers and well rounded young men who will represent our club with pride and be competitive. Some day it may pay off but it wont be from the lack of trying. It will benefit all if Leixlip / Confey / Clane Celbridge / Maynooth are good and produce numbers will in affect make a better county team.

Well done ballymore on winning the minor b championship. . If a club ever needed a lift after suffering a double relagation in the last few years.

Yeah well done to Ballymore. Its a very good minor team they have. Very strong and all good footballers. Hard Luck to Eadestown.
