| Wasn't that why it was built, to play games on? Not just for county training? | |

| I know a lot of clubs complained about Hawkfield but I am delighted there are loads of games on there. Its a great set up and clubs are getting use out of it. | |

Absolutely, but it can be a bit awkward when there are 2 matches on the same time on pitch 1 and 2.

| It can be a pain when every match is in Hawkfield though or there are 3 or 4 on at the one time with parking etc. Can't see why some can't be played in other pitches. | |

| Lily8, Very simple answer unfortunately. As Big Full Back mentioned its all about getting all the gate receipts straight into the county coffers. Its as straight forward as that. This means cutting off whatever small revenue clubs made from hosting championship games and putting it all into central funds to bolster the balance sheet. | |

| It is all about money I suppose but parking is grand in my opinion. There is plenty of room and another big field behind the goals. It is a good facility. And there is more work being done | |

| Hawkfield is badly in need of more toilet facilities. As the county board is using it more and more to host club games, two toilets are not enough to cater for the numbers attending some of the games they are hosting. They also need to look at the provision of catering facilities in some form. Surely they are missing a trick in terms of revenue generation and i dont mean farming it out in a 'cosy' quasi franchise arrangement to someone in the know.Given the number of people going throught the gates of our centre of excellence on a weekly basis the least the county board should be able to provide is a sufficient number of toilets and hot beverages on demand. | |

Yea thats true. Its just a pity sometimes as we've had underage teams playing at 8pm midweek in Hawkfield because other matches are scheduled there for the weekends. Parents, players etc would prefer the kids getting to play on a Saturday or Sunday which a lot of the time isn't possible if they all have to take place in Hawkfield. Clane and Naas through to the Minor A final. Ballymore v Eadestown in the Minor B final.

| Nice to see a spread of clubs other than the norm in the minor finals. But st columba in the minor c final is farcical.
I'd imagine that new building going up in hawkfield are toilets, or maybe a drive through mcdonalds.

| Subject: It seems illogical that 2 senior clubs would have to pool resources but it appears to be an option that needed to be taken in order for them to field teams.. league results and earlier champ rounds it appears they are competitingin right grade Fri Sep 30, 2016 6:38 am | |

| Never have a problem with clubs having to amalgamate to get a team out, but one would have to question 2 senior clubs combined being graded in the c championship. | |

| I assume grading for championship is based on league form..knowing people in both clubs I doubt they would be trying to get a low grading to be winning games and medals...from what I hear they both struggling at certain age groups and struggled to field team in league even as amalgamation...ruling on u15s not being allowed to play minor impacted on both clubs ..i also understand that other minor teams from senior clubs had to play u15s this year in order to field...the big overall problem is the fall off in player numbers between 14s and 16s due to a totally inadequate system where lads finishing at u14 have no competitive game with own age group for 15 months...there is only so many challenge games you can play..lads need competitive regular games to keep them interested...easier to defect to other codes that provide consistent games ... | |

| Yes. The rule that says Under 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s can play minor. | |

| Thought it was only 2 age groups below minor which would have meant U15 was ok before but we now have an U17 competition so does that now rule out U15 players from playing minor ? U17 and U16 being the 2 age groups now | |

| The rules make no mention of "two age groups".
For club minor, the age limits are that the player must be under 18 and over 14, IE must have turned 14 in the previous year, which would but the player overage for under 14s but in his under 15 year.

| And if you're going to object against a team beating you because they had a player that was too young, you'd want to take a table and have a look at yourself anyway. | |
