League matches on Saturday Evening which is sensible I suppose.. just wondered if they could have had it a free weekend with it being Easter and the Championship the following weekend.. Ah shur I'm never happy. Surprised

Was at the sarsfields v Towers game, A great game & towers moving very well under Glen, Sarsfields are going backwards & could find themselves in a league relegation battle if they don't improve alot. I can't see them getting within 5 points of Athy next week.

Was at Moore's v naas match today. Game was over after 15mins! & Moore's were not even out of 2nd gear, Naas were clueless on sideline.

2 good games in Conleths yesterday, Athy v Sash always easy on the eye. Both Flynns looked good yesterday for JTB. Moorefield will still be the team to beat.

I don’t care what needs to be done, Dan Flynn needs to be brought back into the County set up. They should move heaven and earth to do so.
I know some will say if a lad won’t commit then f*ck him and move on, but we simply don’t have anyone near his calibre in the panel.
Perhaps it’s a case that the county board need to step in and facilitate Dan as best as possible, whether it be sorting a job for him etc... I fear without him at ff we’re at nothing.

Luke Flynn had a great game in Midfield also Daniel Flynn was very good. Carbury had a very young team out yesterday trying to blend in a lot of young players with the more experience players that game will hopefully bring them on and help them in the next round. Athy will be there or there abouts come the end of the year Sarsfields are going through a bad patch when you see the league results. Clane are bringing there bad form into the championship again from last year i would be worried for them this year...

Seamus Mc Nally was my stand out Player Yesterday..

Some of the matches I took in were very poor.. lacked quality and intensity.. then again they were meaningless ties as such.

Both of those games could of went either way in fairness.
The scoreboard person in Hawkfield Saturday had a bad day.. constantly missing scores , leading to confusion among supporters etc.. and wasn't like they were high score games either.

some good scores taken in both games last sunday vin newbridge , but i thought that there was a huge amount of shots dropping short in goalies hands to me thats a mortal sin in modern football

It's usually when a player had too much time to take the shot that they try to be careful and end up under hitting it. Both Mulhall and McGovern scored terrific points when they had very little time to get a shot in. Dan Flynn was blocked a couple of times because he couldn't make up his mind whether to go for a goal or point. Agree that its hugely frustrating to watch it happen.

McGovern is an excellent playmaker.. very surprised He's never got a call up, or has He ?.. left footed aswell.

Standard was very low. Shooting was terrible. Lots of wayward passes.

Agree, intheback. A dreadful game of football. 30 lads who looked like they spent the winter in the gym, lifting and running, and were introduced to size 5 O'Neill's for the first time just before throw-in.

Athy might do something this year if Mulhall stays fit but hard to look beyond Moorefield.

Allenwood to go straight back up out of a weak IFC.
