So we are getting back towards that time of year again
I already see some teams back training this week which seems mad Has there been any dates muted? Are we looking at games kicking off in April which seems logical given the split season.

I understand that its no easy thing to create a master fixture plan, but starting a competition the day after a double bank holiday is a bit lousy IMO.. did league’s not usually start the weekend after Paddys week?

Dear God, where is the logic. Would they not push these two divisions back & start with division 1 & 4
After Two years of lockdowns most players would have been looking forward to getting out for pints the 17th or 18th
No wonder people walk away from the game

Ahh come on now, we’ve been given a double bank holiday to mark the end of the toughest two years of most our lives, most these lads in their late teens and twenties, possibly haven’t had a holiday in all that time and now the first round of the league, that easily could be on the following week is slap bang in the middle of it? It’s a rubbish decision. Lads have families and friends too you know, doesn’t have to be pints but there’s more to life than football.

This is a very valid point, I don't mind a few pints myself however there is also a National Memorial Day also planned for that weekend for people who passed away over the last 22 months so yeah, lets leave that weekend free for people to do what they need to do.
We will have plenty of time to start/finish the league.
