| Any reports in a recent challenge match with Down? I see Poacher tweeting about Dan Flynn. | |

| Full forward line of Neil Flynn, Dan & Jimmy Hyland could be pretty tasty.
Hopefully P Cribbin back at 11. I think two wing forward slots are up for grabs... Niall Kelly and Paddy Brophy at nothing last couple of years.

| Are Jack Robinson and Aaron Masterson in the squad? Hopefully we start to see some of our younger players kick on in 2020 | |

| If Robinson is in squad, we should be looking at him for one of the wing forward slots.
Would be brilliant if Brian McLoughlin is in squad too.
Note to usual lunatics on here: feel free to take issue with this post. I look forward to not engaging.

| To be fair I think you can read between the lines. They are enjoying training again, obviously they weren't before.
They like its a fresh approach so I'm reading the last manager had gone stale.
It is alluded that established players are having to put in greater efforts in order to see off a challenge from new players. Were they putting in that effort before. How many times has some one said it was harder to get off tge team rather than on it.
Quite telling in my opinion.

| Conway named senior player of the year. Although there were no other realistic candidates, he was excellent and a captain in waiting. Never shirked responsibility. Not one for pointing and shouting at other players to cover his mistake. Let’s hope Jack appoints him as captain for the coming year. | |

| Disappointing that Dempsey won't be able to play this year. We are short on corner backs.. | |

| Liked the interview with JO'C on KFM yesterday, seems like a pretty straight forward kind of man that won't suffer bluffers, will be interesting to see the player reaction on the field or will he cut anyone that might cause some eyebrows to raise, hope our shadow boxing (not tackling) days are over...... | |

| Can't find a link to JOC's interview but here's the main points he made: - Up to 6 of last years panel (he didn't name them) have injuries carried over from last year and aren't available to play yet. - Daniel Flynn back in the panel is a boost. Johnny Byrne and Luke Flynn are training as well. - He will carry a big panel for O'Byrne Cup and then cut it to 35 for start of the league. - He hasn't really thought yet about how the new rules will affect our style of play. - Ross Dunphy and Mark Scanlon are in charge of S&C. Ross worked with Thomas Davis in Dublin this year. He said we have a big backroom team of physios, stats people, nutritionists etc but didn't sound too convinced we needed them all!
Looking forward to the Longford game to see how we're shaping up.
