First i will say what sort of clown is larry tompkins, wearing the cork colours around his neck.
there were other cork and down people in the audience and they didnt feel like they needed to wear county colours.
he played with kildare for 6 years.what point or statement is he trying to make.

I doubt anyone would complain if Karl O'Dwyer or Brian Lacey were on wearing the Kildare colours if we had been in the final today.

larry even stated in a recent interview that if cork played kildare in the final, that he would be wearing a cork jersey.... the fact that he lived there and had a business there, might have been a factor.... then again acc to larry, Kildare did little for him, when he played with them, so maybe he's right????

No JD, Leper or Jimmers who I would have thought were our best chances of getting a spot. Shocked that the championship top scorer isn't there. They went with Paddy Kelly on the basis that he does so much work off the ball instead of putting up high scores.

Johnny was top scorer a few years ago and didn't get one either... but this year I think he deserves it. Gooch wouldn't be the object of my discontent though... Paddy Kelly and Goulding would. Particularly Kelly. He does a great job for his team. But JD does that same job and manages to be championship scorer at the same time... FFS it's a no-brainer

Shocking, before the match if you were to pick the 15 best in Ireland you'd struggle to put 1 Cork player on the team. The end up with 5!! Goalie doubtful, M Shields yes, Kissane no, Goulding maybe and no 12. no. What a joke.


Btw somebody should tell Graham Canty they won the f*ckin match, never seen such a dour puss on an All Ireland winning captain when he was interviewed on TSG.

These are not serious awards, this is tabloid TV, the real GAA supporter will know who deserves what award, most of these are clowns FFS, and influenced by other factors such as mates on their chosen teams, populist choices that sit well with media etc.

I bet Geezer would pour scorn on these awards!

Very disappointing for JD but Kelly and Bolton deserve great credit to make the team.Kelly came from nowhere this year and it is some achievement.
