| Yea I think Hendy retired didn't he? Connolly from Laurences deserves a shot in the goals. Midfield will be Lynch and Kelly I'd say but O'Connor could be worth trying there too | |

| Challenge game already, Geezer must have a countdown clock beside his bed reducing to the 1st of January.
Is Hawkfield ready to go, I presume there will be a game to mark that occasion and does he get his own office with Geezer written on the door?

| The challenge game on monday is for the juniors.
A few of them will be called into the squad for the o byrne cup and maybe league to cover for unavailable players

| Both Kelly's will be playing with UCD; Bolton with DIT and McGrillen with DCU... Don't think there is anyone else....

Not 100% certain on this but did he not say he'd be stepping down from the county panel around the same time as Killian Brennan did after last years championship? If GaaHead is right and we're only missing four lads from the panel then it's not as bad a return at all, plenty of counties around the country missing up to 7 or 8 players to colleges so we should be in a position to get lads settled in somewhat easier than usual.

| Hendy played today in a challenge game against Wexford so don't think he is giving up just yet.
Shane Connolly played the full game in goal
Kildare won easily, karl ennis seemed to do most of the scoring.
The juniors played a match beforehand and I was surprised too see alan smith & David whyte playing for that team rather than the seniors although I'm sure everything is interchangeable at this time of the year. Good to see tommy o'neill playing with the juniors, if he sticks at it I'm sure he'll be with the seniors soon.

| That sounds promising TBFF. Interesting that a young keeper was tried. There must be a plausible explanation for the two lads to be playing with the Juniors. Happy see Karl Ennis still doing the business
Also nice to see a good player like Tommy O' Neill recognising the chance that the Juniors give you. If you do well it's like a fastrack into the full panel.

The juniors looked stronger than last years team. Mark o'sullivan, conor tiernan, ciaran Kelly & robbie comfrey were a few others playing

| The Peter Kelly effect indeed, what he achieved last year has opened up some doubting eyes I would think. | |

| Wexford seemed to throw in the towel in the second half, but fitness probably helped Kildare's cause. Which is funny considering it was their first outing since the Down match! Kildare team was: Connolly Brophy McGrillan O Lyons AN Other Hendy Scan PON Lynch Leper E Flats Moolick( I Think) Ennis Heff Dowling Brophy and Connolly have been called in for the moment. Good performance as the scoreline suggests, Leper, E Flats and full back line did well. | |
