Far as I know ref had Kilcock and Carbury as a draw but according to everyone including both teams, that Carbury had won by a point.

heard grange could'nt field a team, is this the start of clubs struggling with numbers. i know a few who are very tight for players at the minute, what will it be like later in the year when injuries hit and college lads start to travel for the summer........

Are Grange gone from this tournament so because of this?

As it would mean the team who played them in the first round would have an unfair advantage on the scoring difference?

Many teams struggle this time of year due to Soccer and Rugby running also. I'd read very little into the results now. The League and first round of the championship should be a more true reflection on teams who are struggling for numbers.

Well Fionn, they should be gone but hey who knows what will happen!!!!!!!! It is Kildare we're talking about....

I'd say if they are pulled, the first round fixture should be scratched and anyone due to play them should receive a bye.....

Unfortunately we always seem to be throwing the "Soccer" "Rugby" problem into the mix.... I'd say if you talk to them they'd through the same issues up...... My take on it is that it goes through cycles.... The six nations will be over soon and the Rugby world cup isn't on until Sept. so hopefully at that stage we'll be getting ready for the 3rd Sunday........

We've all hit hard times... Sport isn't insulated from whats going on in the outside world....

It's early days yet and hopefully it won't be a sign of the times but unfortunately the word struggle will be up there for the year ahead......

With a new chairman to be elected maybe he or she can ignite a few of the slow burners in the county board and get a bit of the appitite for the GAA going again....

id say the distance might have had something to do with it and the fact they were beaten last week. in my opinion any team or club who forfits such games should also forfit a home league fixture also. its disrespectfull to the team your playing if you ask me.

Would anyone have any tables from the Aldridge,Keogh,Dowling cups?

If a team is level on points at the top come the end of the group stages is it head to head or scoring difference that decides the outcome?

i think it comes down to head to head...not 100% though

Where teams finish level on points the following criteria will be used to decide the finishing positions in this order:-
1) if there are two teams involved the result between the two teams;
2) Score difference
3) Highest total scores for
4) A playoff

In the case of Grange's group the result of the match played by them will stand and teams that they haven't played will be awarded the points. Criteria 2) and 3) above won't apply to rank teams finishing level in their group.

Sarsfields 1.08 Carbury 0.11, Sarsfields through to the semi finals, not sure of how any other groups went.
