| Derry is the other home game, the Tyrone game is fixed for a Saturday, wonder will it be played under lights in Athy? We did have 4 home games last year, so we were due 4 away this year. | |

| Cheers Cara,
Overall they arent too bad of fixtures. To be fair id rather 3 games at home with Tyrone and Derry coming to Newbridge (or Athy!) as opposed to 4 at home and having to travel away to Tyrone/Derry.
Meath away is always tasty and a promotion defining last week end (Hopefully!!) in Salthill will be something to look forward to.

| We play Tyrone at home on a Saturday. Will that be day or evening ? Where will the game be given early February 2012 ? | |

| If it is evening, I can only imagine it being played in Athy, during the day Newbridge obviously. Given Athy have got the Shinty international on Sunday, the G.A.A obviosly accept it as a perfectly good inter county venue. | |

| Yeah never want to go to Tyrone again after last year!! Will take that the way the fixtures are. Hopefully we'll bed in a few youngsters & juniors with experienced players. Could have a nice wee squad come championship time. | |

| Happy enough with those fixtures, delighted we have Derry and Tyrone at home. Starting to get very excited now, even the O'Byrne cup can't come quickly enough! | |

| Disappointed when I first seen only three games at home again, but this was tempered by not having to travel to Derry and Omagh. We don't have to travel far for Meath (again) or Louth either.
It will be a good weekend in Galway if we are still in with a sniff of promotion, a chance to bury some ghosts there as well.
Looking forward to it. | |

Understand now. | |

| Four away games mightn't be the best scenario to be facing but arguably the two toughest games we have will be at home (Tyrone and Derry). No real tough trips to make from the fans point of view either, nothing could be worse than Letterkenny last year, and a weekend in Galway always goes down well.
Four winnable away games at least and realistically we should be looking at promotion.

That's bullshit fone, of course your going to look for the maximum amount of Home games possible every year. If you don't ask, you certainly will not receive. On that note, i'm hearing our opening Round game with Tyrone might take place in Croker on that Saturday evening. Not sure if there's any truth in the whispers though. Kildare v Tyrone Monaghan v Kildare, Meath v Kildare Kildare v Derry Louth v Kildare Kildare v Westmeath Galway v Kildare There are no easy games in that line up lads. The only one I would say I would certainly expect us to win would be Westmeath at home. Derry beat us on our patch last year, Meath are never easy in Navan, Monaghan wont be an easy place to travel to, Tyrone are Tyrone, Louth up there wont be easy and Galway bring back no happy memories for me whatsoever. Louth and Westmeath will be favourites for the drop but everyone else will take points off each other, no mistake about it. This league will be all over the place. |

Kildare v Tyrone A possible double header then on the 4th !! with Kerry v Dublin & Tyrone v Kildare , not a bad idea , a great idea , will certainly fill croke park for the opening of the league / spring series , i suppose its a good way to access the enemy from all perspectives There is a method in the lillies madness , getting a early run out in croker , hhmmm sounds very familiar !! Tyrone would travel as they have in the past , would be a good weekend in the big smoke

| Surely The Dubs would fill Croker themselves.
I'm all for playing Tyrone in Croker because it's an away fixture otherwise I'd like our home game to stay in Newbridge.

It is a home fixture, we should not be giving up any homes games to suit the money men. This will only leave two games in Newbridge, which I don't agree with at all. Tyrone will be the biggest threat to our chances of promotion and giving up home advantage is something we would be fools to do.
