Convention to be quiet on election front
16 November 2011
There are no major election decisions to be made at this year's annual convention.
The position of PRO is one seat that will be contested though as current incumbent Mary Donnelly faces opposition from Sarsfields' John Holden for the second year running. However, the latter has not confirmed that we will go forward and seek election.
Current Central Council delegate Marty McEvoy may be up against former county board chairman Syl Merrins, who has been nominated for that position, but rumour has it that he will not let his name go forward for that role.
Chairman John McMahon, Vice-chairman Ger Donnelly and Treasurer Martin Whyte are all expected to return unopposed.
