He's been pushing the angle on twitter that McQuillan was physically assaulted yesterday after the match. Along with other anti Kildare stories such as Shane supple, and going to town of the Johnston transfer. He hasn't hid his dislike of the county and it's manager.

If you watch the video which he obviously took on his mobile, McQuillan walked through the crowd. Now any person who has tried to walk against the flow of that volume of people is always going to be impeded in some fashion. No one touched him and he got booed. Big deal. I don't see him reporting when the dubs are singing their soccer number " the referees a @#*&&" He's just using it as a stick to beat us with. Even Ewan McKenna doubts it's seriousness. Joke of a journalist.

Wouldn't even give him the pleasure of posting his name, is shite at his job.posting videos now aswell.nothing happened the ref other than a few jeers, the problem was bringing him through the crowd, would happen at any game if the home team lost and he was brought through the crowd.shite ref and shite journalist

Absolutely nothing in that clip to merit that story. Why not write about how that ref waited to book Sean Cavanagh until he got up and when Cavanagh cleverly stayed down feigning injury waved at the Kildare player to take the free kick and left it at that. Paudie O'Neil wasn't clever enough to do likewise later on and took the yellow card and hastened his departure. Ref did not lose us the game but he is a poor referee and I would gladly not see him officiate again.

Niall Kelly had a point waved wide as well,I think it was gormley belted N kelly to the ground no yellow there either he is a terrible ref.
David Coldrick is a lot better than him and thats saying something.

Another piss poor journalist trying to take the sensationalist standpoint in a bid to get himself noticed. It's ones like him that give the rest of them a bad name.

Surely McQuilan must have been warned about walking off the pitch straight afterwards, did he not have a bit of common sense about him and wait a few minutes on the pitch before heading off.

From what they showed on the Sunday Game it looked like somebody nearly walked into him and brushed their shoulder off him. Surely the GAA should be looking to put a big glass wall up around the Kilcullen End now to stop fans getting at the ref...

Likewise McQuilan COULD HAVE, COULD HAVE sent Stevie O'Neill off for sticking the elbow into Peter Kelly, he could have booked Gormley (or was it McMahon?) for taking Niall Kelly out of it early on, he could have given Cavanagh a yellow for getting involved in stuff off the ball.

He didn't though.

Just like he didn't get attacked or harassed by anybody as he left the pitch.

It could have been worse, just like we all could have picked the right lotto numbers on Saturday night.

Currently stirring things over the McQuillan exit on the watercooler. He has also quoted Kildare fans as being sheep.

McQuillan was accosted now. He really is a pleb. A journalist of a national paper making disparaging remarks about a whole county. The Kildare CB should take note and refuse his entry into Newbridge in the future.

Like I said he'll be remembered.
