Who ?. They have 4 at present and are in relegation. A very good point Seamus.
I definitely wouldn't have Sean Hurley on the county panel. I'll leave it at that. Jim.............that is some statement! I'll leave it at that

| I'd have thought that most people would welcome the addition of a fully fit, fully committed Sean Hurley to the county panel everyday of the week and twice on Sundays. | |

| Look at Jim's earlier post and you can understand where he is coming from. His addition wouldn't fix the weaknesses we have was the point he made. | |

So all our problems are down to Sean Hurley? Does that mean we should clear out all our existing panel too? Ridiculous post

| He wouldn't fix our defensive problems but he would definitely be a big target for kick outs especially with the value of the mark in the modern game. Was a terrific player at underage and it's not that long ago we couldn't buy a midfielder who could catch a high ball! | |

| Luke Flynn has impressed me anytime I've seen him at full back. A fully fit and committed Sean would always be in the plans.. JTB are surely a danger to whoever meets them. | |

| Would have a fit and committed Hurley in the panel. Gives us options at midfield and forward line. From what I've seen of Luke Flynn he would be a serious option for full back or other positions as well.

| In terms of Hurley if he is fit and focused he is an awesome baller. I know some here would not want him near the panel after some discipline issues. To flip it there were plenty of question marks over Daniel Flynn for a long time. I think he has shown what he is capable of after flittering around a bit. Also that whole 'going to the USA' thing was not of his making as he had a groin issue that saw him needing an operation. Hurley is worth it considering he is 6'5", no slouch and has a huge boot. The younger Flynn is the kind of lad we wouldn't say no either as he has a serious edge.

| Lads, obviously I'm a JTB man so there's going to be a certain amount of bias but at the same time nobody is more aware or frustrated than me with Sean's apparent lack of shall we say focus in the past.
However, as pointed out above if he got himself fully fit and committed fully to Cian O'Neills squad he would be one of the first names on the teamsheet. The most naturally talented footballer I've ever seen in Kildare

| Jim it's clear you have your mind made up about the lad and that's your opinion fair enough. I'm not engaging with you any further on it. Enough lads around here know what Sean is capable of | |

| Fair enough white bridge. I have just never seen evidence of the player you seem to know. A good club player maybe in flashes. But thats about for me. If i was picking a best JTB I've seen in my team he won't make the subs. | |

| What age is Sean Hurley now? And what age was he when he issues with his commitment and focus in the past? Are people honestly not willing to give him another chance? He wouldn't be the first young man to mature and see the error of his ways. You literally have nothing to lose. If he buys into everything great, there's another option at midfield where we are short. If he doesn't release him from the panel. | |

| He was on the panel earlier in the year but had "issues". Anyways I just dont think he'll add anything to the kildare set up. I hope I'm proven wrong.
I think its the Colm Boyle type warriors we're missing who are seriously agressive and a huge will to win.

He had a series of injuries so he stood down for the year. Don't throw out 'issues' as if to sneakily suggest there was something else to it just to suit your argument. Where are these Colm Boyle warriors you soeak of within the county? Think we'd all like to see a few of them involved. You seem to to think it's Sean Hurley's fault that we've none of these types in the panel. Pure tripe

| JJ firstly Sean has had issues be they injuries or commitment or both be has had issues now you may or may not be aware of which is fine but white bridge i suspect is also aware of them. Secondly and this is the last point I'm going to make on the matter is that I don't think he will be playing for kildare next year because I don't think he is up to playing at that level. I could be wrong and am happy to be wrong but that just my opinion . If it ok with you to express my opinion on a public forum.
If you read my comment re Colm Boyle. I said its that type of player we are missing I'm not saying their in every club in Kildare, maybe theirs none but until Cian and his management unearth a few we will struggle to make progress and remain at the level we are at. Now JJ again this is only my opinion which again I think I am entitled to on a public forum.
And I certainly dont blame Sean Hurley for that. I hope this clears things up for you JJ .

| No problem with people having an opinion Jim it's just yours is flawed on this subject if you are discounting a player on past issues he may have had. We'd have lost a fair few good players over the the years if we were to implement you're way of thinking.

| Most managers will address any issues a player once the player is willing to meet them half way. In this case I don't see that happening. It didn't happen on a couple of occasions under Geezer and it hasn't happen on Cians watch. So if it was me I'd invest my time and energy in some young lad that wants to be there. But again that just what I would do. | |
