Yep. Money talks again. So if you’ve lost both games to team 1 and 2 and you’ve a better score difference than team 4 a draw will do this weekend.... Beat a team who then finishes second in a group and you’re into a quarter final after five matches..... But they’ll say it’s all about more games.

| At the end of the day the clubs rejected this proposal it was the exec votes that got it passed on the night. €50k extra towards the Newbridge development per yr over 3 yrs as it is in place until end of 2020 | |

| Towers vs Carbury today ? Towers could'nt score and Carbury did enough to win.
Neither will be causing any shocks tho.

| Good win for us although sarsfields were missing a heap of players.
I do think we could of went out and made a statement by winning by bigger margin but I’d take a win over sash any day.
Saw second half of game before us, poor boring game

| Why, oh why did they have quarter final draw tonight, Moorefields next game will probably be against JTB again, who they played tonight and St.Laurences next game could be against Naas again, who they played tonight. Celbridge could end up playing Confey who they already played in the group stages.
Why could they not wait until after the prem quarters finals were played and then do the draw ensuring that there were no repeats. Unbelievable, somebody needs to explain this because I just don't get it.

| Is it fair that the direct quarter finalists know who they are playing so they can look at every aspect of the opposition. Should have been a draw after pre-lims

| Chances are both Moorefield and St Laurence's won't have to look too far. | |

| Ye definitely would of made more sense holding off on the draw for quarters until after the next round of games. Any idea when the prelim round of games is? | |

| Very unfair that the draws for the quarter final were made ahead of this week's games IMO. It not only gives the team that finished top a) an extra week b)one less game but c) a chance to have a look at the team they will be playing next weekend and analyse them. Can't see why the draw could not be made Sunday evening. Plus the fact that there will probably be a couple of repeat fixtures in the QF is farcical | |

| It will more than likely be a repeat of the weekend's games but I wonder will there be any different results if all goes to plan for Naas and JTB? The Moorefield win was a bit strange but O'Connor was a decent boost from the bench and they dug in as usual. It was a shite game at times. I dunno what style of play JTB are going for, but they need to go more direct the odd time to Flynn. Even let it in high. Larries were very ruthless and the young lad Steed? helped himself to three goals. The second goal was pure class, direct running and he buried it from distance. Naas were so passive mind, they really need to up the ante.

| Tom Cross JFC Rheban 2-17 Robertstown 1-07 Robertstown finished with 13 men following two straight red cards. Tom Cross JFC Semi-Final Milltown 1-18 Ballykelly 1-10 Both Milltown and Ballykelly finshed with 14 following two straight red cards with one minute to go. The disgruntled sent off Milltown player decides to run back onto the field and hunt down his Ballykelly compadre after the final whistle, followed then by a riot/melee with both sets of players and some management. Disgraceful scenes, Ref off the field while the two linesmen watched it from outside the dressing room. Just another day in the Junior ranks . | |

| Just to be accurate Kildare Castle, I did not observe the Milltown player running back to hunt down the Ballykelly player; that is a very inaccurate reflection. The fact is he followed and appealed to the referee and returned to his team mates who were going to the Kilcullen end where they eventually warmed down. Furthermore I am sure he was annoyed as the sending off was incorrect as this was never a red card unless there another incident but what I witnessed was the Ballykelly player pulling the Milltown player (a la Galway fullback on Daniel Flynn) but unlike Flynn the Milltown player did not strike but pushed the player off him to release himself from a tangle, it was never a red for either but some card for perpetrator, it was a wrong call but we are all human and even referees and linesmen make mistakes . That was the general consensus from Ballykelly, Milltown and neutrals. I agree the scenes at the end should not happen such a pity to see these scenes. Regardless of the the spark it is a pity to see these two proud clubs involved. In the earlier games Naas too strong but difficult to see them as contenders. Rheban might not be overly impressive but strong chances especially with Milltown losing the player unless they overturn on appeal. | |
