He was probably contacted by a reporter and asked to comment as Kildare and Down will be the first match where the fence will be in place.

I'd imagine maybe someone from down was contacted too.

He is our chairman after all.

Nothing to see here, he was bound to be asked about this at some time as the barriers go up for our match. I think the answer he gave is good.
He is the Chariman after all and has to be seen as the face of safety for Kildare fans.

So its the scumbags on the hill at fault for all the pitch invasions is it?
Hope they lower the price of hill tickets now with the new restricted view.

If anything I can see more people getting injured in those silly orange nets in the stands if they get tangled up in them and trampled on.

Plan b last year when the dubs won.If we won would it have been the same.Funny how they are putting them in place AFTER the fcukin dubs play.Like to see one of the stewards stop me from getting on pitch if we win.6ft 3 and 20 stone,when i make a run down them steps the only things that will stop me is the ground coming up to meet my face.Will be like big daddy on speed

i got covered in bloody tar in derry this year gettin over a fence!!!ill root out the con-saw,ill hide it in my hood going into the hill,they never check the hood!!
