| Congrats to Bolton for getting a nomination.. Surprised that O'Connor didn't get one for full forward.. Only one Kildare player nominated. IK see two Longford nominations and Donegal get 12.

| I was listening to the Radio coming in this morning and I heard one nomination for Kildare. It was hard to work out but Bolton seems a reasonable choice. O'Connor absolutely no way. He was taken off in too many games.
The one shock on those nominations is Donncha O'Connor from Cork. What about McCormack from Longford ?

| I would say Bernard Brogan is a big shock. Well, shock is the wrong word. But he is an undeserving nominee.
I was surprised Kildare got any but I suppose as Division 2 champs they were thrown a bone and Emmet had some excellent games during the year. And he is the blue-eyed boy now amongst the national media when it comes to Kildare footballers, taking over from Johnny. He's our Bernard Brogan in their eyes, although he was much better than BB this year.

| Absolutely stunned Paddy Kelly isn't on it. Superb against Kerry and Donegal I thought and one of the best footballers in the country. | |

| Was thinking the same myself O2B, he is probably the most under rated footballer in Ireland. He was dropped (maybe injured?? But he did come on in that game) against Kildare IIRC so that might have gone against him. How Bernard Brogan got a nomination I will never know!!
I think Bolton deserves his nomination, he was our best and most consistent player all year by a long way.

| I don't think Tom O'Connor was anywhere near All-Star nomination standard but Bernard Brogan shouldn't be anywhere near that list either. Smith might be a tad unfortunate. I thought he was our best forward this summer.
Surprised by the inclusion of Michael Shields, Donncha O'Connor and Jamie Clarke. I thought the two Corkmen had poor years by their standards and Clarke is probably only there on his club exploits.

| Surely Clarke deserves his inclusion for his part in the Crossmaglen winning the All Ireland / he is definitely up there with best forwards in the country. Agree Brogan inclusion is ridiculous | |

| Plenty of strange inclusions.
Of course, Kildare fans focus on Brogan, generally because he is a Dub.

| I have to agree with the lads BB has been very average this year , cant see the justification for his inclusion , as for been s...e , i suppose its not to often you see a SO CALLED s...e player winning leinster medals for the last few years & A/I in 2011 , but I suppose ,You have to look at who have they made the comparsion with !! A Good player & Great servant That's It !! | |

| Don't think anyone said BB was shite... just that he was generally shite this year, and there's a difference. He was substituted twice, and was reduced to passing the ball when in front of the posts against Mayo as his confidence was shot. So he had one good game really. Shocking inclusion.
I would think it might be an all-Donegal half-back line. Anthony Thompson hugely important to Donegal's development of their game plan.
Colm O'Neill is a certainty I'd have thought, in place of Andy Moran
