Does anyone know if there has been any movement on the final selector on the management team?

Interesting to hear that Brian Lacey has left his position with Limerick.

very busy with his new business, which is going well but obviously he wouldn't spend all the time on the road that he did going down to Limerick. Could be a contender alright

Another defender selector, just what this team needs! Any chance we could get someone who has performed at the highest level as a scoring forward and who might introduce some guile and imagination to our forward line? .If the manager were to continue his love affair with former Armagh players then why not Oisin McConville. The guy is a top forward for so many years and clearly has a close affection for the Athy club. I certainly would live to see someone of his calibre involved.

Seems a bit strange to come out with that line now considering he was ratified as a selector for both Seniors and U21's only a week or two ago.

He has had a rough time of it lately, maybe he just needs to have time to himself. You can't blame the man. He appeared to give everything to the County so I for one thank him for his effort.

Jason Ryan does have a particular fondness for Kildare , but I cant see him taken a step down the ladder after been a inter county manager , could be wrong , and a bonus for Kildare if he does come on board as a selector / advisor

I have said it before there must be plenty of individuals within the county boundary lines , who can do a similar job ???? Its convincing them to take the step is the question

Seriously the young lad. You expect us to believe that cock and bull story. You heard Jason Ryan is linked with the post in becoming Kildare's No.2 but would he leave Wexford for the position. (Despite having left the position 2/3 months ago).

I'd say whoever you were having that conversation with is full of intelligence if it actually took place.

I'd imagine what your angling at is Ryan coming in at No2 to take over at the end of next year.

I see the Nationalist are hinting that Niall Carew's decision to quit is linked to the choice of new selector. No announcement has been made yet as to who the new man is but he has been more or less confirmed. Anyone know any more?

Maybe it is some one like Ryan. Carew may have felt his position as number two was under threat and moved on. Only a theory of course. Funny how both locals say the person is already picked and it's just formalities now, yet no one seems to know who it is. All very intriguing.

Surely someone on here knows who the new selector is going to be. Its November now.

They can go back training in a few weeks, its surely already in place?
