Lads what's gonna happen to this poor chap?
He probably made the biggest cock up in the history of the GAA.
More than likely is going to bring around the end to pitch invasions.
At the end of the day he is amateur getting little or no reward for doing it.
Will probably never be able to referee a game again, not even club games.
He is someones father,husband, uncle, son.
I think for his sake Meath should have replayed the match?
What's people opinions on this?

Id say he'll give refereeing a res for a while. Also i hear the gaa are debating to have fences erected again around the pitch. I personally think that they wont put the fences up, but you never know, it might be the only way for the end of pitch invasions.

He'll be ridiculed down the ages.
Everytime RTE have a GAA special on, then that last ten seconds will appear everytime like they way they role out Mikey Sheehy's goal ad nauseum.

It will end up in some top twenty moments at some stage and when the new year comes around he'll again be up in lights in a sport look back.

There is no getting away from it he's fecked.

Hell even TV3 might make some terrrible program about it along the lines of "half tonne man" or "neighbours from hell 3" called "Sludden: banged up in Croker"

he will be disciplined I'd imagine and won't get another game this year. He's now said in his report that he actually blew for a penalty but gave the goal when the ball went over the line. Now nowhere have I read or seen or heard until now that the whistle blew. And everyone knows, that if he did blew the whistle, he couldn't award the goal. So............ he should stop digging.
