I'll complaint but still be there to support the players who are putting in the effort to represent us. If players are going to America for the summer and management are aware of this early in the year why have them on the panel in the first place, give someone who will be here the chance ( and the benifit of the training, well if they is any benifit ). I ask to same question again

As far as I know he came on and went off soon afterwards injured. @KildareNatSport: Big roar from the Athy faithful as Kevin Feely enters the action @KildareNatSport: Feely limps off three mins after coming on, Darroch Mulhall on

| Gaa1928 I think you've hit the nail on the head.
I have no problem with players wishing to travel. They are not paid to play football and have the freedom to do whatever they want with their lives the same as anyone else.
But if you're going to America for the summer, you need to decide that at the start of the year and opt out of the county panel. It's not fair on your team mates, supporters or particularly management. Hyland and Flynn (assuming it's true) are players we had been planning to have for the summer and both were likely starters. It's not fair that we have to plan without them from a few weeks before Championship.
Also, would you be comfortable having such players on the panel next year when you know there's a risk they'll decide in May that they're out of here for the summer again?
Like I said nothing personal, lads are free to live their lives but if you opt in at the start of the year, you should see that commitment out. I used to laugh at Laois when players would do this thinking it showed they weren't serious about football and had no self-belief. Shoe is on the other foot now.

| What if Fellas only decide late on their going ?.. Maybe they feel they are not certain to start, or there is not much point, as maybe the case this Year.. Whatever the reason, One couldn't blame them. | |
